Dad came home from doing some shopping in Tuggeranong yesterday afternoon to tell me he had seen someone driving a Black Skyline with flames over the bonnet throwing the car sideways through the car park, before going over the speed hump at around 80 km/h throwing sparks everywhere, then more sideways, then hitting four or so cars on the way out... Anyone in Tuggers yesterday can maybe back up his story, cause sounds a little..... talked up to me...

sad to see, doesnt mean you have to leave the forums though, im soon going to be driving round in an older commodore but i'll still be coming to cruises and events.

Andrew :bs!: - Say it aint true. Work more hours, walk the streets of Fyshwick late at night. Just dont get rid of your girl. She says she's sorry and I'm sure she means it this time. You dont really need to da anything silly like a Wife, Child and house's.

But if it's time to move on I Got a spare Nissan Badge you can put on your ride. What about welding on a front cut and...Awww Shucks! It just sucks!

lol how about a vl with a skyline front? sky-odore?

its all good, its actually a nice clean VL of a friends im getting, nissan engine at least, has a nice big stereo, very comfy and air con (thank god for air con on days like this)

besides im over the car in a lot of ways, i cant throw the obscene amounts of money at it that i want to, so its kinda an all or nothing thing.

but i'll put GTR badges all over it, and big skyline performance decals on it. :bs!: :slap:

Well I know the car at least, it's a black R32 GTS-t

See it in Civic & Braddon mainly, Asian owner.

yeah i know the one, used to be around my area heaps, but havn't seen it so much anymore. i constantly kep hearing stories about that car doing some seriously dangerous sh*t. dont know if it still has its spinners on the rear anymore though?

anyway my advice is to keep away from it.

Hey people. Some idiot hacked my gf's e-mail and after sending spam from it and being a general idiot he decided to give it back. only problem is he set a new password and gave me a riddle to solve to get it. It's as follows

2 words - but you have to work it out .

Not the password - ion,t,ti,ca,u,at,hne, 1st word mixed - 2nd word mixed e,d,r,o,v,p,a,p

Any ideas? I know the second word is 'approved' but i just can't figure out the first?

nah im honestly kinda looking forward to just driving something basic, that has a nice stereo, and a good cruiser. and as much as i hae to admitt it, i think i'll enjoy the VL for those reasos, but pulsars go ok.

currently thinking about getting this one.... http://www.cardomain.com/id/x_a_d_0_0_d

specs: 88 n13 nissan exa turbo

ca18det engine out of a 180sx

11 000kms on the engine

156 000kms on the car

gold/woodgrain paint job

manual

vg30 turbo

front mount intercooler

turbosmart type 1 bov

nx alloy rims

2" exhaust to a 4" cannon

series 3 seats

lowered on monroe gt gas shocks and pedders springs

tripple core radiator

new timing belt

new water pump

new rocker cover gaskets

tint

central locking

tyres and brakes in good condition

boost guage

new battery

rhino car alarm

comes with heaps spares… odd bits, standard 180 quarter mount intercooler, spare t25 and few other bits….

will need about 2k to get it finished and fully registered (water pump and a few other small things also need replacing) but its not likey as i'll have to get it sent from sydney and without having someone up there fully inspecting it its to risky. but i'd love to go back to an exa, but it just seems like way to much hassle when i could get the vl as a good cruiser for $3500

I know that Black R32 with the flames.... See him all the time... Living near tuggers hes always to be seen...

Havent seen him doin anything stupid, Only seen him FLY through a roundabout near tuggers, but thats it.. parks in non parking zones, it looks as if its been rolled as the driverside side of thr roof has been pushed in.

Anyways

Spotted couple of days ago R33 Silver GTR white wheels... Was in me mates car (lancer) and we were talking to you at the lights..... You prob thought we were dicks... but alcohol is my excuse.. Sorry if we scared ya :S

Car looks and sounds awsome.

Also Spotted Sinista between tuggers and Bonython, and also at woden at the main intersection there next to Sky plaza.

Spotted:six of us in a row on Friday night! So you could say we were in a line,in our 'Lines to stop on the line-at the Lakeside Rydges for a formal.By memory, there was Choochoobar,SxyGTST,WhyTry,Sinista32,SupaFly Skyline plus little old me(no comments 'bout the age thing, you lot!) plus an R33 in grey that was happy to zip around us as we drove in(anyone on the forums?).Those that haven't been treated to SxyGTST's ride lately need to see it now:the rims now match the rest of the car-schweeeet!

Plus seeing Alf's cameleon R33(AJC plates),pretty sure I saw JohnnyR31,a coupla white R33 GTST's,a silver R33 GTR...Pretty good night for spotting 'Lines,really!

I would say we where the best looking bunch that turned up. the cars i mean not u jayce. was a good night all up.

Canberra was line fest on the weekend. At the corner of Belconnen Way and something else I saw in about 30 seconds, a black 33 with a big SKYLINE written across the back window, a nice white 33 with a black guy driving, a maroon 33 and another white one.

Canberra roads are good for lines methinks.

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
