We got back to work today on the car. In 5 hours this is how far we got on the door.

and how every Subaru engine deserves to spend it's life.

also removed a bunch of stuff today like all the sound deadener on the driver's side, the rear panel on the drivers side(total 8 pounds), and the radio and speakers are out(8.8 pounds). So far I have removed 151.2 pounds/68.7 kilos.

question.. does anyone know if R34 exhausts are interchangeable with R33 exhausts. when I look at the two in pictures side by side, the bends seem to all be the same. If they did, then there are some awesome exhaust choices I have to make.

yeah i was giving you info on the 33/34 exhaust, but then realised i was thinking of the gtst, not gtr. so i removed it. lol

btw, the car looks great. i dont think you can ruin it no matter which wheels you choose. as long as they fit right :)

looks killer, Congrats to your girl and your self!

I think the wheels need to be these! nismo_lmgt4blacklimited.png

agreed!

also with regards to the exhaust, i can confirm that 34gtr exhausts are in fact slightly longer than the gtt's but sorry i dont have info on interchangability between 33's and 34's

This looks awesome mate, your GF is gifted indeed.

My only concern is that with all this hard work, you haven't sanded the original clear coat before applying the art work so when you end up spraying the clear over it, it will start to flake and peel in no time.

to be honest I don't expect it to last for an incredibly long time. When the time comes, I'll repaint it to Midnight Purple like I was originally planning!

Also, thanks guys for the infor on the R34 to R33 GTR exhaust info!

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
