Get the r32... just wait and find a decent one. I paid 20k for mine. And its MINT. perfect paint, Perfect inside and out 312awkw. and its a Nismo Edition. I waited 6months to find it but.

Im glad I bit the bullet and went with a 32GTR....34 GTT did come into my mind for a split second but I knew I would regret it hard....they look boring in stock form i reckon.

I wouldn't waste my time with carsales again for a JDM 32 GTR, I searched for over a year on carsales etc and only 1 clean one came up with in that time that I wanted but sold in 1 week.

I then had an import dealer find me the cleanest one possible which still took months but was worth it.

f**k dudes....way to try and change a brother's mind!

Please...NO MORE "Go the GTR" posts...I can't handle it! lol

If I DO find a nice clean one...I'll go for it....I don't like my chances though

f**k it...

if ANYONE HERE has a clean GTR, thats HONESTLY clean and trouble free...CONTACT ME ASAP, Im looking to buy within a week

I'm DEAD SERIOUS

gotta be in Melbourne though, as much as I love travel, just don't have the time right now.

mate of mine has a 93 Vspec that is decent nick (he's an inporter.) had the books with it and drove well (I had it for 3 weeks doing minor electrical work on it.) can put you in touch with him if you like.

If you dont go the GTR route you'll just regret it and keep wishing you had gone for the GTR. :nyaanyaa:

As I can't be bothered reading through all this crap...is the car still available?

I have 2 STi's, but a Skyline might be nice too to drive to the milkbar and back

Above was from Mike, on a GTR sale thread.

Not exactly sure how much of a brother you really are Mike. :)

I personally would go the r34 (as well that is what i have done in reality) but the main things that put me towards the r34 is i don't want an ancient old car (even though mine is still 9 years old) plus i can't stand the old interiors. R32 interiors were as bad as the s13's and man that was crap

There was one point in time where I had to choose between an R34 GT-T and an R32GTR.

Drove the R34 around for a bit but it just doesn't compare to the R32. Sure the R34 is newer, but if you buy a clean and well maintained R32, you'll have years of driving fun !

i bought an r34gtt primarily because i cant stand the ancient r32gtr interior, and was also concerned about their age. driving the 34 and a mates 32gtr is a completely different experience, however i cant wait to get back into the 34 after being in his car, and there isnt really that much real-world differenece in performance between the two, besides the 32 having more modding potential, but if like you say, you plan to have it as a daily, the 34 is better in almost every way.

if i was you, id use your stock sti as a daily, the 34 gtt feels archaic in comparison to my 05 wrx, uses more fuel, and is probably slower though i cant confirm this as i havent had the chance to track it yet. but you do get a special feeling in the skyline.

also, after driving awd, be carefull in a gtt, they loose traction at a whiff of throttle in the wet, and are way to easy to slip in the dry too.

have fun.

If your not going to buy R34 GTT instead of a GTR R32 simply dont bother buying a skyline at all

The reason I got rid of my R32gtr was that it looks like an 80s car, times have changed and whilst it was an awesome car to own I felt I need to move on to something more modern as the daily drive.

Got a 350gt for daily drive and an R33 for project/track use which I feel is a good comprimise, I test drove a couple of R34s and they are a lovely car...

I guess utimetely if you are buying as a daily drive you'll want something with is comfortable, a better return on the mpg..etc

and there isnt really that much real-world differenece in performance between the two

LOL!!! That's some funny shit right there! Define "real-world" for us???

Go the 32R dude, the interior is fine and the seats are way more supportive (although they are a bitch on a long 4hr+ drive), LOTS more parts available for an R than a 34 GTT too

The BEST buy in the Skyline market at the moment are R33 GTRs, Check http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ec-t309417.html for the difference between a $22,000 R32 and a $25,000 R33... The add a Power FC, Cams, Cam gears, intercooler, Bilsteins and a 3 years newer car the R33 side of things.. They are a steal, I know you did not need another GTR post, but I have the 32 in those pics, and the ONLY reasons I went a 32 was because I wanted an R32 V-specII specifically, and because I have daily drive. Day to day, R33 GTR or a later GTT hands down

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
