might as well just get a Autowatch alarm with the electric window wind up unit and then it can be wired with your turbo timer, otherwise if i had known you wanted a hardcore alarm you can also get the autowatch with a turbo timer, but it can be wired in very easily and then you can save on the installation

www.importscene.com.au ... goto the contact section, and ring Shaun Kempson. He installs Autowatch, and can order it in etc, he does a very good job (i have worked with him before), he is very proffessional and does things for a good price. He knows his way around turbo timers etc aswell. can hook anything you want up to anything and yah. He knows what he is DOING!!!

hey guyz, thanks for the input

i was kind of looking at getting a system called "viper" im not sure if it is rls in australia but in america it is wat all the viper and corvette use, got a pager and all looks very high-tec and comes recommed from my mates in the states

ok after looking around on the net, i have come 2 the consulion that i would like to get an

very high-tec, i really want a GPS alarm system but i dont think any one in australia does that only happens in USA. so does anyone know of a place where i could get thi system in perth nad installed?

gps would be nice mike,

but your insurance dont get any cheaper with a wizz bang alarm. The insurance is there to protect you when the car is stolen etc. and god knows you are paying for it. so you might as well put in a decent autowatch or a laserline and then make sure your insurance is paid.

dude, i think u can hook up autowatch to a GPS.

Shaun at import scene hasnt got his wired up so much like that, BUT he has it so if someone doesnt start his car a certain way ... the alarm will go off (thats if they even get that far into the car! ) But when and if something like that does happen, the car actually calls his mobile fone first and he can talk to the people in the car, and they can talk back (via microphones in the car). He can even call his car, and arm the alarm system from his mobile. (or any other phone for that matter). But yeah... if u want it... he can do it dude. Just say what u want and he can get it in and get it sorted. Some of that stuff is pretty costly though.

We have a guy on call who installs alarms .

used to work for Actions and does( did ) all the installs on the Subaru WRX keypad alarms in WA.

He will be in this arvo so give us a call.

Cheers

Ken

I have ordered a GSM alarm, just stick a pre-paid mobile sim card in it, and it will sms me when anything happens, and i can send an sms to immobilise, set alarm off, etc. also it can be tracked via gsm mobile tracking, just like a regular mobile.

That, coupled with a keypad pin immob and my regular system, should be fairly secure :)

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
