ah ok, the guy at importmonster told me that the offset difference wouldn't matter for GTR?

if the wheels are the same width, but have different offsets, then that's fine.

if the wheels are staggered, and the total rolling diameter of the wheel including the tyres is within 1% of each other, then that's fine too.

anything else will cause issues with ATTESA.

that red GTR looks mean!

so 19 x 9.5" +11 and 19 x 9.5" +21 if i put 255s on all 4 that would be completely fine?, might offer him 2.5k

no. you'll run the risk of fouling on the front suspension as it sits a few mm further in than normal, and it'll be about 1cm inside your fenders, so you'll ed up with flushness fail. you can run spacers if you want, that'll fix your issues, but for $2.5k I'd want it to be fucking on point to start with.

those wheels are supposed to go on V35/V36/Z33/Z34, not GTRs.

It'll work if you run spacers, and I'd only run spacers on wheels I buy for less than 1.5K. Anything more than that and I take my time to make sure I get them in the right offset, or I'm prepared to alter the car to make em fit if they're too epic to pass up.

What exactly is your job description Pat? :P Good pay for eating chocolate or nah?

haha im a process engineer at the research & develop. department within cadbury

Just started so im still going through the induction crap but I put my hand up for as many taste testing sessions as possible :D

Ah nice. Sounds like a good job.

Well Matt has GTR front end i think anyway including quarter panels(at work cant see pics at the moment)? and seems to fill that out nicely as for rears i thought he had to pump / roll his out a bit 10" with +15 i would of thought they would look hot on a 33 GTR? might give him a cash offer ;) so Matt takes care of his bling bling? haha

On a different note i want to buy one of those 33 GTR rear defuses, carbon fiber <3 $500 from psiparts

they'll look hot, but they won't be flush.

ah fuck it, you'll probably never lower your car to epic stance anyways, so nobody will notice that they're 7mm further in than they should be.

he better be giving away a free reacharound with em at $3700 tho. or at least offer to cup your balls for a solid 5 mins.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
