currently have some

255 40 R17 94Y

Yokahama Advan Neova's AD07

2 with camber wear and 2 which have pretty much no tread..

id love to get the same tyres..

problem is im having an absolute bitch of a time finding somewhere with prices / where i can buy them

does anyone know where i can find..

*sorry i wheel newb :)*

traction tyres is yokohama distributor. else try one of the sau sponsors.

still waiting on custom wheel outers to be machined up and the centres powdercoated.

in the meantime i got our painter to track down either Nissan Midnight Purple II or BMW Interlagos Blue samples for paint. Then it's a matter of rolling/pumping the guards out for extra width which should cover the 11" wide wheels in the back :)

Still divided on paint. MPII would be sweet, but the base colour of the car is blue... which may or may not work too well with a blue-purple-black flippy colour.

go the MPII, it looks awesome in the sunlight and just as good if not better in artificial light. when i just went outside before it was a really nice dark looking purple and then when i walked closer to it it changed to a blue/green colour, it looked awesome :P

yeah but MP2 is a nissan colour. this is a golf... at least Interlagos Blue has some euro history behind it.

Although then the cream leather interior and MP2 should look sweet together. If I go the Interlagos Blue I'll have to change the interior to tan instead of cream. Wheels will have to be a different colour instead of blue barrels and black spokes too if I go MP2. Maybe bronze barrels and black spokes?

Also, there's no green in MP2. MP3 has some fucked up hectic bro chameleon goin on, but MP2 is just straight blue -> purple -> black transition. Black basecoat, purple midcoat, blue pearl in clear.

ok, i must be a bit colour blind then lol because in some angles and light it looks like it has a green tinge in the blue.

have you got a pic of the interlagos blue?

just a quick question if i got some new z tune side skirts and rear pods would it be hard to spray and match up this colour properly?

shan roughly how much is it costing for ur wheels to get done man?

base was $1500 for centres and inner barrels and $1000 for outer barrels. Plus new bolts, labour, powdercoating etc.

full homo cos it's 5x100 fitment that nothing else seems to use other than shitty old toyota celicas, and even then they're like +40 offset which is useless on an euro.

wow, that blue is very nice.

yeah it's a blue base with purple pearl and then a clear with some light blue pearl in it... or someshit like that.

same car, two angles.

Subies are 5x100 too.

also with +40 fitment.

as are Prius' which also run 5x100.

The Works I got are for a Subie, but then with custom outers machined up to my specs so that the offset goes from 18x7 +29 to 18x10.5 -15 :)

mp3 is the f**king shit!

jamie, that 180sx you posted, always see it around my way.

and

today after school, walking across the oval to cross mahoneys road to find a juniors ran across the road and got cleaned up by a van at 60km...

you are worse than a fkn woman

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
