If they dont do the work they shouldnt have taken the diff. It was second hand but there was nothing wrong with it. When the guy opened it today he saw straight away that shit wasnt right. Might be a good thing, im over the 2 ways now, want a 1.5 way.

well thats what most workshops will do, like i said originally you shouldve taken it to a diff place instead of having them as middlemen

if things wernt right originally when you got it back shouldve taken it to another place, in reality you f**ked it from the driving

hahahahahha

yea i know man... ive been keeping a low profile + dont really go on SAU anymore...

Dang!

What you been doing?

BTW I spotted your old R32 4 door in Richmond last weekend, still looking tough!

woop woop! my new exhaust arrived today :P and damn does this system look nice.

and nick, i had a look at the rear muffler and it actually doesnt shrink that much at all if any actually, ill get proper measurements later, hopefully ill fit it up this weekend.

its not on the outside, its actually on the inside that it shrinks

either way its still a great exhaust

thats where i looked. i looked straight through the muffler to the other side. if i can get the light right ill get a pic.

mmm i dunno then know for certain the evo's have it, thats why wasnt 100% on skylines ones

test drove a 7 for a mate a month back and it had a 06&R on it, sounded weird as, to me didnt sound right lol :P

fingers crossed mine sounds alright lol. i know it will be quiet which is ok by me but we will see how it goes hopefully this weekend.

^ lol

i got a question for people that know about fitment with rims and stuff. first to clarify im not buying these im just interested in this offset because i dont undertsand what it would look like. ive never seen a number that low usually around +13 offset and stuff like that is what ive seen so im just curious.

K I'm getting a LSD with 3.4 ratios. What can I expect? Quicker acceleration and a lower top speed?

with lower ratios (than the stock 4.11) it's the other way around.

or did you mean compared to your old a/m diff?

3.4 diff gears???? are you sure?????

thats like vl auto style or commodore 3 speed auto diff gears

damn thats horrible, that will kill your cars acceleration, but your top speed will be mega

if you want more acceleration go for 4.3 GTS4 diff gears or evo style 4.5

4.11 is about right for the normal skyline. are you sure it is 3.4 diff gears? it sounds like 4.3

no one would ever sell an aftermarket skyline diff with 3.4 as an upgrade

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
