don't BC's come with 7kg and 4kg springs standard? From memory that's around the same rebound rate as stock. Performance gain? Turn the dampening off full firm and see how the bounce rate is. The midrange of most cheap coils are terrible, they only work properly at either extreme due to the nature of their valving. Add to this that BC's don't have progressive springs, and it's pretty much a recipe for fail.

With the same amount of money you could get a very good set of matched springs and struts that will last longer, perform consistently and much more smoothly. Fuck adjustable dampening and height, the only guys who do that usually have $5000 suspensions and visit a suspension shop before and after each event. If someone's on a $1200 budget for suspension their broke ass isn't gonna see a suspension shop after it's been set. ever. they'll just ghetto it up at home every time they get defected.

in which case you'd rag on him for not dragging his balls low enough on the ground (or whatever analogy it is you like to use)

so what's a kid to do?

save up and buy decent coils so he can do both?

not that he'd ever drag his balls too low to the ground, he'd destroy that fibreglass kit of his at the sight of a bump in the road... so he'll be running it at a safe and possibly legal height, so why bother with cheap coilovers?

All i know is my BCs feel good :) and heard good things from suspension specialists, and the reason why my car isn't balls slammed to the floor is becuase of:

1. The area I live in.

2. My dad spent a fair bit of time repairing my front lip while I was doing other things, and would hate to screw up his hard work of repairing it properly

BC coilovers are actually pretty good shan, they are pretty much rebadged greddy's. Spring rates 8 / 4
pigs arse, we've fitted about 3 sets on cars, and they were almost identical to the other equivalent stuff from race logic and G4/D2. Just powdercoated a different colour. Shit we even showed the race logic guy who looked after our trade account and he was like "ummm yeahhhh funny that".

8/4? you had better spring rates when you were rockin superior stock suspension for acceleration.

running 10/8 on the GTS4 on matched Tanabe springs and shocks. Is nice. Bumpy, but not as bad as my old 12/10 setup which was bumpy as fuck, but it's not a daily so I don't really give a toss... and if the passengers don't like it... they can GTFO and walk.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
