we actually take days off in in Syria on Good friday, christmas weekend etc etc

not all arab countries are tight ass extremist flamin mongrels lol

*starts posting 11ty billion pics of syria- barbs style*

Alex expanded on what I was saying perfectly...We've changed enough in this Country to suit certain cultures. I'm Australian with an Italian background, and I'm not a racist, but when little kids these days can't enjoy talking about Santa and the Easter bunny, can't say merry christmas because you might offend someone, you have to say happy holidays... etc because it offends other religions/cultures/nationalities, and those people have their own schools, where they're free to celebrate and worship what and whoever the f**k they want, then they have no right to whinge when something like this happens.

If the fact that you're not allowed to leave school for your religious holiday is that much of an issue for you, go to a muslim school where I'm sure you'd have the day off for it. If you'd rather be at a regular school for whatever reason, then sit there and cop it when you can't have it all your way.

Couldn't agree more, its like saying "uhh.. motorsport is my religion.. i need the day off yo! so i can go watch the V8 supercars at phillip island!"

"oh yeh sure no worries, sorry for the inconvenience, not like learning is important or anything"

Has any actually experienced a situation where they have had someone have a cry over 'merry chirstmas' or 'happy easter'?

I'm atheist myself, but if some one, no matter what race had a whinge over either of them, i think id probably laugh in their face.

im with you dezz 100% im all for muliticulturism and this and that, but this is australia we shouldnt be changing the way we do things for others it should be the exact opposite if i go middle east and you know you take a woman they have to cover up and stuff thats fine thats how it is there not gonna strut around half naked but unfortunately australia has been to accomodating and its hard to change it back now..

wait, what!? people actually get offended when you say merry christmas etc now? in australia? a christian country? if anyone gets offended by that, be it jew, muslim, hindu, etc etc. they deserve a punch to the face.

i wouldnt go to a muslim school because i just wouldnt fit in. but i seriously think the teacher had no right to talk to me in the manner that he did, provided it goes for 3 days and i came to school for the first 2 days and did the extra work so i wont fall behind..

lol my brother got pulled over by channel 7 and highway patrol in his 33GTST got done for bald tyres

they asked him if he wanted to go on the tv show and hes undecided at the moment i think

:D. actually agreed on most of these points, just saying the smartest thing for mr v plates here to have done

No way would I EVER allow them to put me on that pathetic excuse for a show!

It just adds to the govt's anti hoon campaign and will just be yet another nail in the coffin of public opinion

lolwut? those are hella xenon modules, one for low and one for high, $130 a set, so $260 for the lights. surely someone makes fibreglass copies of the housing?

    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
    • OK, so a bunch of trim needs to come off to get to the rear shock top mounts. Once the seat is out of the way, the plastic trim needs to come off. Remove 2 clips at the top then slide the trim towards the centre of the car to clear the lower clip Next you need to be able to lift the parcel shelf, which means you need to remove the mid dark trim around the door, and then the upper light trim above the parcel shelf. The mid trim has a clip in the middle to remove first, then lift the lowest trim off the top of the mid trim (unclips). At the top there is a hidden clip on the inner side to release first by pulling inwards, then the main clip releases by pulling the top towards the front of the car. The door seal comes off with the trim, just put them aside. The the lighter upper trim, this is easy to break to top clips so take it carefully. There is a hidden clip towards the bottom and another in the middle to release first by pulling inwards. Once they are out, there are 3 clips along the rear windscreen side of the panel that are hard to get under. This is what the rear of the panel looks like to assist:
    • Yes. Autos typically work from the speed sensor on the pinion shaft of the diff. I also think that even if you have a proper speed sensor for the bog manual in the manual box, that the signal it outputs is not compatible with the auto dash anyway. You should consult that manual (the book, not the gearbox).
    • And I just realised that that advice is slightly nonsensical for a GTR, because you need 2 of them. But it is otherwise true.
    • Having had a reasonable look at the car, I'll be able to remove the (one time) rams and retract the hinge (they are held in the down location by a tiny (m3?) sacrificial screw) which will get it physically back in shape. From there if you remove the rams you need a resistor to turn off the airbag light (as Mark said, there are plug in kits and I might go that way because its reversible). And...per all the threads on here, even if you have the resistors to turn off the airbag light, the bonnet light will stay on as it writes to the airbag computer history - that is either replace the airbag controller, reprogam the EPROM (if I can work out how), or remove the globe from the dash. Having seen how sensitive this system is, if I had my time over I'd pre-emptively remove the rams, even on a road car, because this is all a very unnecessary pain in the arse. Reminds me, time to go and have a look at the Fuga too....
