My friend just had someone run into the back of her car and needs some Subaru parts. Anyone know any Subaru wreckers? I need some names ASAP!

It's a 2004 Impreza RS.

I just read that wikipedia entry...

an AWD IS250 with a 2JZGTE swap would be kinda cool.... hell even just straight RWD with the swap would be cool. Not feelin the regular versions... you could buy a V36 for half the price and get pretty much the exact same car.

usa gets awd is350 which is turbo (i think)? something special about it other than AWD

don't think so. not many turbo cars in the US pass their smog test. but they make a 3.5l and 2.5l in AWD in japan.

I'm guessing it'll be like the V35 GT-8, which is fuckin awesome for the first 5 mins of owning one, then you start feeling hardgay cos you have a CVT and a heavy car... so you get up to 100k/h and flick down through all 8 virtual gears to pleasure yourself by pretending you're a shit hot F1 race driver coming into a hairpin, but then cry yourself to sleep, cos that's all your car does well.

nga please. no spacers. i was thinkin of those fender flares though.

need to find a set. saves me having to roll my fenders out.

dunno if that fender flared look will suit the R32 bodykit I'm putting on either.

I'm 99% convinced to go clean and shave the rear etc with an R32 bumper and a Ford FG falcon skidplate mod.

Actually make that 100% convinced cos I already paid for an R32 bodykit.

Hmm sent a letter to EPA asking for warning/extension as I was overseas for business for a month... It's been 4 weeks since letter sent and haven't heard anything. Not sure if I can drive the car or not :P useless hippies. Will call them I guess

Sooo...

Got flashed by a speed camera for the first time in around 7 years, so is it easy to get a "official warning"? I was around 15km/h over the limit. I swear they have changed the speed limit on Fitzroy St from 60 to 40 recently.

Piss easy. Admit fault, say you weren't aware of changed speed but is not an excuse as I should be aware of speed limit at all times. You wish to appeal for a formal warning as it is your first offense in over 7 years and wasn't intentional.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
