Much rather an E92 M3. Those things are sexy as! Plus sould waaaay better than the 6 in the E46

Hey Shane, have you had your car in Pro-tek lately?

Mine's been there for about 3.5 weeks! They're taking their time fixing my shit!

The 180? :) Nah ive stripped it. Haven't been around there for ages! Been meaning to drop in but been WAY too busy. They finished their drag car yet?

who cares if its not as quick man give me an m3 over a gtr anyday. i wouldnt ruin it with engine mods though leave it stock just some phat set of rims and thats it :)

nah i like power so id put a supercharger in it for sure

i like the sound of a straight 6 especially the m3 when you get a good exhaust system on them and get rid of that rasp.

yeah there's a white e92 around here, looks sick with the carbon roof

still prefer the e46 though looks more pumped. tufftuff

There used to be an E92 that parked a few spaces up in my apartment building. The thing had me drooling everytime I saw it. I still think an E46 is hot, but the E92's bonnet, rear end just look wayyy hotter.

What I don't like is neither of them have really drool-worthy brakes :)

a good exhaust system for an m3 is in excess of $5k

go a cheaper route and youll lose performance

i love the noise its a screamer!

brakes are overrated anyway, sif stop

prices on the e46's are now similar to 34 gtr's. hmmmz

thats why i was saying keep it stock. unless you got very deep pockets your better off saving the money and spending it on service/maintenance rather than upgrades

but if you dont want the rasp then have to upgrade

thats the reason why gtr wins lol my pockets arent that deep to modify a m3 but deep enough for a gtr :)

im a power guy not just looks, although an m3 would be a good daily.

Aaah ok. Do you mean the Supra?

prefer the stockie sound/exhaust anyway

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
