handling & power > autosalon fagging

It's already fast enough with the GEN3 engine and current power mods. I might raise the boost later down the track but for now I'm very happy.

Handling wise, again it's pretty damn good (in stock form, mind you) but I am doing a few upgrades.

So far I have bought BC Coilovers, Cusco front/rear strut braces and I guess my lighter wheels and decent tyres count as handling mods too (or braking more-so).

Future plans include sway bars and a few other small things.

I'm not "autosalon fagging". The Recaros are for holding me in my seat through fast corners. If I wanted new seats for cosmetic reasons I would get my mate to retrim them for cheap.

I'm taking my car to Haunted Hills later this year so all these mods are for a reason :)

I've never seen an MR2 come with bucket seats from factory. Not even the late models. I don't doubt you though.

Here is a 1998 interior. These seats look a little bit more bucket-like than mine, but it could just be the angle.

The only differences I've seen are leather or suede trim upgrades.

Surely you wouldn't classify them as buckets?

^^^ those look like celica seats.

the late model MR2 GT-S (post 96... think that's a S3) came with some sweet optional leather buckets that cuddled your nuts better than a puertorican whore.

I <3 the GTR seats plenty of bucket for a daily!, although from the feel of them they wouldn't be very comfortable for a larger gentleman as they are pretty narrow and firm.

You should buy Aarons r34 gtr seats jezza :)

you're also a massive homo, so I guess that kinda splains it.

alex, I bought a boser metal extension for the hood this weekend. $500 delivered from the US :)

next paycheck = respray and panel work. also need to figure out how to pop the boot.... like any good pornstar, teh golf is havin her back door shaved.

thats steep but cheaper than custom, plus its like unique +10 baller points to you sir.

yes... i am gonna leave the line on the teks for a while....

oks i knew a guy sellin a pair ill keep an eye out for ya man

R32 gtr seats are the most hugging. But they still suck because they don't have thigh support so you still slide around. Still want that bride gias low max mmm

yea

r32 gtr seats are sweet

being a big boy, i was always worried my ass wouldnt fit in them

but when i went to take pics of jamies r32, i jumped in and fit, nice and snug

happiest day of my life

    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
