I am getting a bit sick of having a nice battery cover one one side of the engine bay while there is a gaping hole on the other side which has nothing but uglies on display (plus I'd like to hide the catch can ;))

I have ordered a G35 battery cover "kit" from the US which, I am told, will require cutting and at least 1 bracket to fit properly.

Will post pics etc when I fit it.

Now, I figure I can't be the only one that thinks this way (although it is a common occurrence ) so depending on how many people (if any) would be interested and how much needs to be done to fit it, I will look into a group buy in the not-too-distant future.

Cost will be a maximum of $160 delivered to your door with clips and whatever bracket(s) are necessary and will obviously be cheaper the more people want to go ahead with it, but for now, if you are interested feel free to say so

Very bloody interested!

By the way Cam, I modified the catch can by cutting a hole in the top, threading it and fitting a knurled cap with o ring. Now I can run the stainless scourers inside it. I am making a bracket to hold it in too if you want one.(instead of the cable ties)

LOL... yeah wouldn't mind. Will save me a bit of time this weekend making one up (cable ties were temporary :D )

Scourer? again?? Why not take the top off (unscrews I am told) and add a divider down the middle to force the air down and around? Maybe better, yes?

They are definitely threaded but I couldnt budge it. Now I have a fancy knurled cap. :D

I was going to make an alloy sheet brake unit cover and paint it black but this idea sounds much better, just hope it fits ok.

For those interested, here are a couple of pics with the cover fitted (no brackets as yet).

Price will be $145 which includes cutting to the cover and shipping to your door.

If interested you should not that there is some cutting of the existing bodywork that is necessary to fit it.

Need a minimum of 5 orders and will require payment up front :)

It would appear I need slightly more than the Break Fluid panel cover.. I thought there was meant to be something covering that corner :(

Spose getting a battery cover would now just look a bit silly too! Ah well.

Has anyone managed to persue this? what's the part no? I would be interested on 1.

I found one supplier on eBay US for around aud$80 delivered so a group buy should lesson the postage making them slightly cheaper again.

How many people would be interested on this group buy? 1 will have to be send to chc nz.

I can get 10 sets sent to me, but I can't ship them to people for that. Feel free to post the link.

IF you guys are interested in a GB, I would need a minimum order of 10 and the cost of each will be $92 shipped to your door.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
