Honestly mate don't know if the full race is better or not. Would need to do some back to back testing which would be a real pain in the ass as you would need to plumb up 2 different sets of gates.

If I had my time again I would probably just bought a 6 boost one for reasons such as

1. Cheaper

2. Quicker to obtain (each fullrace manifold is made On order)

3. If it cracked or failed in anyway would be easier for warranty

4. The full race is a bit of a nightmare plumbing wise.

Though I do like how the manifold looks and how it makes the turbo sit towards the front of the car.

I also had to cut a bit of the re enforcement out of my bonnet to fit the Massive frame of the BW

yeah there'd want to be some noticeable up side to warrant the above trade-offs..

How long did it take from payment till it turned up on your doorstep Joey?

It was a while ago but from what I can recall it was ages.. Like as in months.

It didn't bother me at the time as the car wasn't ready anyway.

Also if you order from the US you will pay tax.. Not like the dodgy japs who put Down 700 bucks for a nismo pump, injectors and a twin plate copper mix :D

I do admitt the manifold is a work of art though and I don't regret buying it

I would not regret buying it either, it is a very well designed manifold, better design than the 6boost.

Any email back? The one on the 34 did look a little bigger but by how much I couldn't say. I'd love to know!

What do you think you will order for your car John? 6466?

Email - yes, Answer - no. But will let you know as soon as I do.

I did however email a mob over in the US and they put the 6466 in the middle of the EFR 8374 and 9180 in terms of response and power. This makes it a good choice I'd rekon.

I'm still committed to more time with my twin EFR's, however they're only 1 failure away from being replaced for good.

Interesting.

Wasn't the berry 34 running an EFR last year? If so, I wonder what the reason for the swap was.

Whilst it's not my place to answer on Mark's behalf, I can tell you from experience that anyone dealing with BW in the early "EFR Launch" days didn't really get looked after that well by them. this experience makes the decision to change fairly easy, dollar permitted ofcourse!

Can you elaborate how they are better in design?.. I haven't really checked out the 6 boost yet

The runner lengths are designed correctly (pulse tuned), 6boost is not. I believe it to be important in turbo manifold design.

suffered undisclosed secret issues that could neither be confirmed nor denied while discussions with BW was ongoing? :ninja:

lol yeah at the time... Plenty knew what had happened, yet the marketing machine was trying to avoid admitting it.

what have you done Jase?

lol

lol its not definite yet, but I have the invoice for a 5558 .64

was going to pay it this week but funding fell short :( will need to wait a few more weeks maybe

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
