Hi Guys,

Spotted a Yellow R34 on victoria rd this arvo a cop was in the drivers seat and another was outside the car talkin to someone. If this was a cop car we all better be careful it had a big powerplay sticker on the back of it.

Now this could have been someone elses car but what was the cop doing in the drivers seat?

Not Sure so anyways beware unless anyone can clarify....... :ghost:

Cop was probably checking it out...

There are quite a few car enthusiast cops around... Not all of them are dickwads like some people on here would have you believe :P

Haha,

I dont think all of them are i have met a few nice ones over the years.

Its just most of the young highway patrol that are the arseholes.

Hopefully it wasnt a cop car with powerplay imports sticker on it thats all

Even though most of us wouldnt try and run a 34 well i wouldnt bother anyways.

No point not on the street anyways ;)

lol ... Are there prices that bad??

Hell yeah! Try $50-60k for an R34 GTT, and >$100 for a GTR. Haven't seen many GTR's there lately but they seem to sell pretty quick. You know what they say about a fool and his money.

I got pulled over for an RBT by a cop who had just bought a Twin Turbo Soarer, had a deopist on an RA20 Celica with a 1JZGTE in it and had a Datsun 1200 ute with a 13B Turbo that runs 11's. He quite liked RONIN and knew alot about MR2's

well IMO you cant expect to get a great quality car at the lowest price. I bought my car there, paid above market, and have an above market quality car. Very happy with the price and service

And I bought my 99 r34 GT-t from there for much less than that too. Great condition and good service.

To me it's time v money thing. I don't have time to work on my cars anymore so I work hard to get the money to buy a better one from a place that will look after me if I have any issues.

hehe, adrian...

yeah that yellow gtt has been there for a while now. i always see it along victoria road. model 6 white spoke wheels? yellow? different skirts and wing though to mine i think but nearly there!

i agree with most here, if the $ value didnt match the quality of the product im sure the business wouldn't survive?

in any case, 99% of the time money doesn't lie :)

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
