Have you tried 'Boss Cocky's Cut' at Outback Jacks @ Knox? Fark me, the steak is on par with Meat and Wine Co. Try it - you will not be disappointed! I LOVE a god steak.

Yep it was very good steak there. The meals were a bit expensive for what they were, e.g. charging you extra for sauce wtf lol. But nice feed for sure.

*shudders*

Did you really just recommend them out loud??

DID YOU JUST HATE ON STONEGRILL??? Allow me to seperate that meal from the rest of the offerings at Paesanos...totally different things!

Oh yeah I forgot to add, Korean BBQ.

You order a plate of meat of your liking and you cook it yourself.

Nice and fun too.

But only place I know is in the city...

There's one in Box Hill I went to. It is fun. Ox tongue...was...interesting lol.

I love ox tongue, thinly sliced, they're awesome in hotpot, korean/japanese table bbq blahblahblah.

How's the hogsbreath in melbourne? I loved the one in singapore, but i'm unsure of the standard of food here...

If you eat out a lot what I strongly suggest you get is the entertainment book

Teh Entertainment Book

It's like $70 for a year's worth of food, movie, video rental fun coupons. Probably has $10 grand worth of coupons in there. Many of them are great eg., 2 for 1 main meals at classy restaurants, so the book is already making money for you after two restaurants. They also have Nandos, KFC, etc in there. And it's for a good cause.

You can buy it at any hospital/school/many local clubs etc.

Yeah this was real thinly sliced. I tried and tried but couldn't get over the fact I was eating a tongue...not the part of the animal that was bothering me, but it made me think of chewing on my own tongue for some reason hahaha. The taste itself wasn't bad, just that mental barrier.

Hogsbreath is okay...I only really eat the parma there which is fairly good, haven't had a crap meal yet.

+1 this book is great. Have saved alot of money with the 2 for 1 meals.

I've heard good things about Nobu, and actually, in Feb or was it Mar, when my family was here over the chinese new year, we had considered dining there, all 12 of us, but the restaurant was dim, it looks good, but not really condusive for a huge family to be having dinner at. It'd be good for a couple though, and since i favour japanese over a lot of other cuisines. The prices are phenominal though, so unless its a real huge occasion.

Lol, i bet you'd wipe them all out if you didn't know that was tongue.

But then again, if i wanted steak, i'd go down to queen victoria market to grab angus scotch for 28/kg and do it myself. No ambience though. But i'm not a fussy person.

We had the 8 course thing at Nobu. Can't say I'm very impressed for the price. It was decent, but nothing too special. The decor is interesting, if dim.

But then again, having eaten real japanese food in japan, and Tetsuya's in Sydney, I guess my expectations for expensive jap food might be higher.

Hogsbreath originated from Australia dude. Queensland to be exact. The Singapore branch at Chijmes is nothing compared to the ones here :) So i'm sure you'll love the one in melb.

Awesome, yeah, the one at Chijmes.

Alright, will check it out soon =D

If budget isn't a problem, go try Vue De Monde in the city. If not, you can try out the newly opened Maze restaurant at Crown Metropol opened by Gordon Ramsey.

Went to Maze last night, it was phenomenal, the decor in that place is second to none and the food was incredible. They have these private boxes you can book out and have both a wine waiter and a food waiter all extremely knowledgeable on what to eat and drink with what and what ingredients have been used even down top the fine finish's. Rib eye steaks just fell apart on the plate it was that tender. Also had cop hoof balls that I woke up craving again this morning.

Soo good, but expense

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
