$78 for MW2??? Thanks freakin good. I always thought K-mart had their prices a bit higher on recently released games.

EB have their prices a bit higher for a) They're a rip off, and b) They allow you to return the game, no questions asked, within the first week (or 14 days, I can't remember exactly) and get a full refund or swap for another game.

your right about that. Although EB do still ask you why you want a refund etc. They don't care how ridiculous your excuse it though. I told them my mum brought me the same copy of the game, for no reason. And i got my money back.

Although this was a while back.. I bought V8 Supercars 3 for PS2 (brilliant game imo) the day it was released from Kmart.. i don't know what happened but there was no prices around or anything. Me and my mum went over to one of those scanner things in the store and it was $28.. EB had it for $100 :)

Kmart are good :)

$28 for a newly released game is a steal. Damned EB and their overpriceness. That being said, I pre-ordered my hardened edition Black Ops through EB since they were the only ones that still had it available... the day later they were out of stock :)

Only 5 more days to go. Keeping the Treyarch vs IW war aside, I think it's going to be an epic game. Most of all, as I've already mentioned, I'm really looking forward to zombie mode.

I'll come to EB Games defence, I got MW2 for $78

Was a bargin at the time :D

but yeah, apart from when EB have there stocktake sale (or whatever it is) they are rediculously over priced

I bought F1 career challange for PS2 from there ages ago. A game that was 2 years old or so? and it was pre-owned also for $100

Only reason I payed that much is because I could not find it anywhere else here

Did you get mw2 for 78 Cus it was on sale? On release it was 110. I dunno why but they always mark a pc version of any game down 10-20 bucks than the ps3 and xbox

haha cause anyone can just download a pc game..

EB arent all bad.. I buy a few preowned games fro there.. But their pre owned prices on some games.. Some of them are more expensive then buying new.. what idiots.. and a $10 less than new price? I'd rather buy it new.. Once they have sales i'm in there.. But all the new stuff I'll buy from Big W or JB

I think it's because the game companies have to pay for licensing to Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo to be allowed to make the game for their respective consoles; where as PC isn't actually "ownded" by any particular company and so licensing does not exist (or is much cheaper if they still need to pay Microsoft for Windows and Apple for their macs.)

Back to COD though, I've pre-ordered the hardened edition (which was only $10 more at the time) for the WaW zombie levels. They're going to be running off the Black Ops game engine, which should be pretty cool.

And it's bullsh!t that the higher editions aren't available on the PC, since it was the first system to actually have Call of Duty.

To the zombie fans,

A friend of mine acquired a "copy" of Black Ops for his 360 and decided to MMS me a photo of Zombies mode. Here is that photo.

He has also informed me that Dempsey and Nikolai are in it and those videos of playing as former presidents is all bullsh!t.

lol nice as long as your mate doesn't go online before the release date he should be right, alot of people who got mw2 before the date went online and got caught (dunno who by) and couldnt use there PSN, LIVE anymore.

hey guys i just found this for anyone who hasn't pre-ordered black ops: http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/call-of-duty-black-ops/

i know where im getting my copy from.

Well there you go, JB once again beats everyone in the price department. The game is also going ot be in 3D... now that's AWESOME!!!

    • Haha I do that.. thats when it chirps..The bit point for me is almost non-existent. Otherwise I stall it. But yes, in terms of performance, the clutch is solid af.
    • Greg speaks wisdom. These dirty old Datsuns are only value when they are cheap. When they are not cheap, there is no value. Sounds contradictory, but it's true. We are now 20 years past the hey day of modifying cheap 90s JDM cars for small amounts of money. This is a different world. If you are rich and can afford not to care about what is effectively wasting money on an old Datto shitter, then I have no reason to argue against it. But if you are wanting to experience what we all experienced back in 2005 (and I bought my car last century!) then there is no way to do it.
    • Short answer: No. Medium answer: No, because you still need to conjure the things out of thin air to bolt them to a NA to make it a NA+T. Long Answer: No - The things you need to conjure - meaning a turbo, intercooling, manifolds, exhaust, intake/manifold/piping, clutch, injectors, fuel pump, AFM (?), ECU + Wiring (woo, N/A loom fun) have to come from somewhere. You could have many scavenged these things from an OEM car that someone had upgraded from and use some of these. This will be cost prohibitive now, especially so in the USA. You'd probably pay the same for newer, upgraded components that are better than old OEM stuff from 25-30 years ago. None of these big ticket items are re-usable for the N/A car. Why not buy new and upgrade while you're there? The only real consideration is turbo and fuel sizing and determining whether you want to stay within the bounds of the OEM engine or get into rebuild territory. These limits ARE lower with a N/A motor and especially N/A gearbox at the starting point. And if you're gonna upgrade those then you may as well consider having them built to begin with. Because everyone here knows you're never far from that next engine rebuild once you start making the power you want... The cars you see on the internet and SAU etc have been built over decades. If you're really clued in... you would sell your US car to somebody for what you paid for it. You would then scour AU JDM pages or SAU and buy a car like Dose's on this forum with your powerful American Dollar. This will save you so much money in the long term. Importing it could be tricky. Or it might not because USA. I have long said the only reason 90's Japanese stuff took off was because a) Japanese people had Japanese cars so that is what they used b) Australians could import these cars to Australia with very minimal changes and use them on the road here c) Neither country had well-priced access to US or EU Sports Cars. I don't believe the JDM scene would have taken off in Australia at all if we had EU priced EU BMW M offerings, or more especially the AUS V8 Scene would never have existed if we had the multitude of US cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes at the prices you folks do. After all - Do the math. I would say put a V8 in your R34 and that's the smart way forward. It is. I did it. I know this from my own experience. But at that point there's no reason to simply not buy a C5 or C6? It would be simpler and easier and cheaper and bette-
    • Reading all this... hurts lol. I have an ENR34 5MT and I paid an inflated USA price for the car alone, had to do tons of preventative maintenance past that, and so I'm over $30K USD into the car already and haven't even touched power.  I wanted to +t it. Not even trying to make GTR numbers, I'd be happy with 250hp.  Can I get away with paying much less to make that happen?
    • Damn you’ve done well, definitely snapping necks.
