Full boost is about 4700rpm in 4th...

Starts to move at 4000 and giddys up by 4500!

Been on to a motorkana already, it's fine apart from really tight stuff (helps with good suspension, dont have to slow down as much  )

All these arguments are boring, got any vids of it at the motokhana?

Got motokhana next weekend and powercruise the week after so should be plenty of videos soon!

If you are lucky there might even be a rod flying through the bonnet in one of them haha

Until then, here are some pics from the last one (was only on 350hp and BP98)...

Haha yeah we need to see the rod through the block. Extra points if you get it on film haha

Where's that khana at? It looks like a shopping centre carpark

It's in the car park of the cycling speed dome plus their practice circle road thing out the back here in perth! It's really tight and a bit shit but still fun :-)

If you are going to the trouble of running E42 why didnt you just use pure E85? You still need to go to a random servo each time so I don't really see the advantage, unless you were running out of injector.

edit: just watched the vid, are you running a locker? Cause it seems to understeer bad then power oversteer.

Don't have E85 on pump over here in WA so have to purchase CSR Sucrogen E85 in 205L drum. Cost is one factor as it's expensive at $550 a drum and also convenience of only having to get one drum to make 400L of fuel :)

It's got a ATS 1.5way, only understeers a little when I push it hard on the gas into very slow corners... Not really designed for motokhanas with the RB20 being that laggy. At speed it handles like a dream

nice work Simon, definately come along way from last i saw of it. I assume you didnt do the paintjob with a paint brush or roller like the black it used to be :) Colour looks awesome, good to see something different for a change.

haha yes it has... Go on antilag and I have a showcase thread of what I have done

Reminds me of what mine is like to drive in slow corners, but worse. No boost then bang! need moar balls to drive it. It's all well and good to make all that power, but you will never use it in a corner with the lil 20.

I still love my 20 and will continue to work on improving it as much as I can within reason, but sometimes an RB26 is ever so tempting :P

Ok, its on! Have done an exchange with a friend for some parts which means amongst other things i now have some new SARD 700cc injectors. So they can go in with my new fuel rail with full ptfe/braid lines and fuel reg and we can start to see what sort of boost we can screw into my thing with E85 :)

Its on ... IS ON LIKE KING KONG!!!!

Must be in the tune. My thing does not hit that hard and sure as hell doesnt break into wheelspin, a little bit in st but 2nd gear just hooks up ;)

I like the 20 in the corners as it has less torqe to turn the tyres and easier to get on the loud pedal. By corners i mean corners, not silly 120 deg turns on a skid pan, but 70km/h+ corners on a circuit

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
