Where: The Royston, Richmond (Google Maps)

When: Thursday the 16th of September at 6:30pm-ish? Till whenever people wanna leave. Pub shuts at 10.

Some of us are heading to the Royston in Richmond on Thursday night for Steak Night.

Anyone is welcome to join on condition that they learn this greeting and use it when greeting other attendees:

They do a decent 250g Porterhouse Steak with chips and salad for $15 as a Thursday night special. Usually gets packed out so an indication of attendance means I can book out a table or something.

STEEEAAAAK NAAAAIIIIGHT!

lulz. steak night 2.0 will be at Squires Loft. Cheap and easy for first round.

Let me know when that is - I'll be in for that, although it's not a cheap night (for the tightasses out there)

Easly burn $70-80 if you like eating top food :P

i'm gonna be a tightarse for the next 2 weeks or so, sigh, wish my ass wasn't so tight, but this is reality.

this. is why round 1 is at a cheap but decent place. get the punters interested.

Squire's Loft starts at like $40 for a steak, but by the time you add sauces n sides n a drink it comes to about $60.

Butchers Grill in the city is quite good, a meal is about $50ish, but if you sign up for the free rivers platinum card or go on a tuesday you get 50% off (only on the Yearling T-Bone or Eye fillet or the Angus Rump tho)... so anyone who wants a cheap steak can still have one and not feel left out.

250grams ay...do they come in mens?

I'm working tomorrow night, but if it's a regular thing I'll try to come to the next ones..especially squires, been meaning to go there..

Also can't even remember the last SAU anything I went to..

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
