FCON V (silver) is piggyback.

Its like a Emanage Ultimate.

FCON V pro (gold) like a motech , haltech.(much better than FCON V silver)

HKS selling harness connector for M35(connect to std ecu) so FCON V PRO is able to use auto.

But FCON V PRO is very expnnectorensive.

Around $1000 (ver 3.24-3.3)second hand (new around $1800)and new harness connector around $5-600.

Tune cost around $700-1000.(same motech , haltech)

you don't happen to have a C34 do you?

Where about's in North Ryde are you?

Are you talking about C34 LAUREL?

I am able to remap ecu for RB25det.

nah don't need tractor motor stuff .... I just thought I had seen you around the area as i'm in your area......how many M35's have you done before?

has anyone looked at the plugs on the ecu's?

i'm guessing that they are vastly different but i know of a guy running a vq35de in an n15 pulsar with an r34 ecu running the show (with a bikirom board installed)

food for thought

I have already asked Toshi about the doing an M35 ecu and he said he doesn't do them. I'm guessing he would if he had the gear.

As have I... He would tune M35's but the gear he needs has a significant cost to it so, understandably, he isn't tuning them at this point

well this is what my friend said

Machine the exhaust camshaft for a camshaft signal that is constant(not variable cam timed) and have same notching as the R34 CAS, machine the front(passenger side) cylinder head on exhaust cam side to take the camshaft sensor and then used... a Maxima A33 ECU plug, which has the same ECU plug as an R34 but repinned to suit.

In other words, a LOT of work to get the R34 ECU working. It was cost effective for me since I worked out what I had to do with the first few swaps and my motor was already apart for the rebuild before I fitted it :)

However, I think I could work out a more effective VQ25 option with a bit of research :P

i've asked him what his "more effective option" is and i'll let you know what he thinks

Nip ..... But if you want to ring SAS and talk to Tom he may have progressed in the year and a half his had the ECU.

With our ECu that he has not paid for and not delivered any results... hahahahahahaha :)

Year and a half - Shit!

I'll keep that little belief in my heart that one day soon I'll pop back onto this forum on to find the thread - VQ25DET ECU FINALLY CRACKED, ROM TUNING FOR ALLworship.gif

There is, only catch is you have to send your ECU to Japan :P

Rom tuning.

I prefer to adjust my own maps. :)

From what I saw, the Nismo rom tune did sweet FA for the low down restriction as the cams are still retarded to buggery down under 30kph.

So I finally purchased a Vmanage which adjusts the cam overlap against load/revs, it should get rid of the stupid low down restriction and allow the turbo to come on much faster. It will also allow me to refit the cable throttle, the only reason I removed it was due to the intake cams going 30 degrees retard or more while in limp mode. So I should now have full engine control again.

There is still the speed cut to think of, but I dont think it will matter when I am controlling the entire engine with the Emanage and throttle with my foot... Finally.

How much is the Vmanage and where?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
