Carbon Fibre S2 Front Foglight/indicator Surrounds Group Buy!

Recommended Posts

Ah ok, was just thinking that because parts like CF bonnets weren't legal these might not be. But then these aren't exactly doing much in a crash :) all good!

As soon as 10 people are gathered PSI parts will start manufacturing them as that is the minimum required. So there kind of isn't a date as such....is that cool?

If not I can put a date up, but we only need two people anyway so it would be a safe bet it would be filled this week.

I understand there but there needs to be a 3 month cutoff date for even a EOI - otherwise a EOI could run for 6 months.

Ok no worries man.

Cut off date to get the 10 people needed will be until next Friday the 8th October. If another person aint found by then I will put my name down for two so we can get these manufactured

:)

Rigteo, need two more people then. Guys ask some of your friends or something, surely out of the millions of Skylines in Aus there are two more people that would want these. Don't make me have to buy three lol.

GROUP BUY IS A GO!

I have spoken to Shane from PSI parts and they are sending the covers to get the moulds created since we have 10 kits on order

So here we go.

The carbon surrounds have been added onto PSI Parts' website as can be seen here:

http://www.psiparts.com.au/detail.htm?ProductID=R33S-FOGL-CF

You will notice that they are at a RRP of $199 + $20 freight = $219. However our price is $119 + $11 freight = $130. This means a saving for us of $89 due to the initial group buy.

To receive this saving, a coupon must be used: R33FOGSAU

Here is a link showing how to use the coupon:

http://www.psiparts.com.au/faq-coupon.htm

And here is a link showing how to shop on PSI Parts' website:

http://www.psiparts.com.au/faq-additem.htm

So if everbody could start paying for them ASAP, the sooner we can all get them :D

If you have any questions feel free to forward them to me or to Shane at PSI Parts.

(Remember, more people can still join the group buy, just put your name down)

Thanks guys :(

Phil

I went to order it but when i enter the coupon code it says "Coupon Expires"

I have fixed the error, please try again.

Thanks,

Shane

I'm going to assume the coupon will work until the first batch has been made (as in this initial group buy) and is ready to ship out. Similar thing to the carbon cooling panel. You interested in a set?

I will make payment from next weeks pay :P

So is there actually an expiry date for the coupon or is it there all the time?

The coupon is only valid for the first batch and I will make it expire on the 22/10/10, so that gives you until Friday fortnight to get your order in.

Thanks,

Shane

Yes please :(

So you willl take NA Beasts extra kit and the next person that joins in will take my extra kit.

    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
    • I'm a fan of the JZX110, and the Aristo. Big cruiser cars, and with the factory cars, super comfortable and feel like you're driving an armchair! And the JZ motors are a pretty nice engine too, especially with some basic mods.   The import process, and the need to be able to trust people, and the fact there's so many scammers around is what ever puts me off wanting to go through that ordeal!
    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
