My brother got done for fitment, said the tyres stick out too much from guards and its unsafe, or some BS I think that was when he had to get a engineers

Edit: I mean sure his wheels / tyres were flush but nothing too bad.. so yeah just depends on the officer I guess

lol...

Flush fitment and outside the guards = no longer flush.

outside the guards can get you defected, simple as that.

All it will come down too is the officer at that point in time. Some will get pinned, others wont.

Just remember if you do get pinned/pulled over for it - then it's likely you'll get reamed for other stuff.

I'm a bit fan of less attention, the cheaper/easier your life is :D

i got told my tyres were sooooo stretched it was the "most unroadworthy car" they'd seen in a long time and they could fly off at any time!

infact i was LUCKY they let me drive home they said normally they'd make me get it towed.

so yeh cops dig it alright.

id say if you wana be doin it right aim for about 18x10.5 +15 front and 18x11 -10 rear with 225/35 all round

that's plausable... just... there's an s14 in US that is running 18x12's with 225's and negative offsets on stock metal :D

lol @ alex's car being the "most unroadworthy"....

edit: can he at least run a 40-45 profile? ;)

dey hatin'?

Yeah bro!

;)

How do you know what car littletimmy has and give measurements?

:D

been riding flush and low enough to take out cats eyes with the sump plate in the ceffy for 2.3 years now. Never been hassled by the cops. Don't drive like a tard and they will usually leave you alone.

Also mexican is not just illegal, bros don't let bros ride mexican. Flush is not illegal.

Maybe because you never drive

i've been defected 3 times in 12 months because of my fitment in my s14.

i always got the story that, if i hit some kid my evil wheels would suck the kid under the car LOL

LOL think of the children before you run flush wheels dude!

lols but at least it looks epic. that's the same bullshit they use for too low.

my front is very slightly sunken, rear is flush with camber then again, car is stock height to doesn't really matter.

avoid certain areas(like knox) and you should be alright.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
