Genuine R34 Gtr V-spec 2 Aluminium Pedal Group Buy!

Recommended Posts

Yeah I was thinking that aswell but I don't know how much cheaper it could get. By all means people that are interested keep putting their name down so we can see how many we get.

The main problem is customs. Allready this order is over $1000 and would get hit with a customs tax which would blow out the point of doing it. So I am going to have to ask for a "favour".

If we got 20 kits priced at over $2000, the "favour" would most likely be harder to obtain.

Also your kit is going into a Stagea correct? Can you confirm that Stagea pedals are the same as Skyline pedals? Just want to make sure they fit your car as I have never seen the pedals in a Stagea before :P

Yeah, its for a stagea, however I am converting mine to manual. The accelerator should fit fine, however the stock stagea automatic brake pedal is a fair bit bigger than a manual one. Clutch pedal is from a manual stagea, which should be identical to an R34 one i believe. And I will need to replace the footrest with an r33 or r34 one as well.

I can't say for sure, but I think it should be straightforward to fit these pedals to a 260RS stagea, or an RS4-S pretty easily, as they are both manual models.

Ok cool. Like I said in the first post, nearly all Nissans funnily enough use the same pedals. The factory rubber pedals all have the same part number throughout the models.

Ok as promised here are the photos of the stock accelerator pedal in a V Spec II to show the bushes that are part of this kit to make it fit (thanks Mathew!)

As you can see in this side shot, there is a black "clip" that holds the pedal on at the top:

Here you can see it unclipped:

And here it is removed:

And that is the clip next to the pedal:

Now the other bush is the one on the end of the pedal as seen here:

So that is it :P Those two clips, bushes, what ever you want to call them are what allow you to fit the acclerator pedal onto other Nissans.

Ok this is what i'm going to do, because there is more interest than I thought. I will do one group of 10, get the payments as quickly as possible and order them and in the mean time start the second group of 10. Is that ok? I will ask the supplier if we can get more than 10 in the one group buy as long as he can sort out the customs problem. If not we will seperate it.

I'll be in - im sending email to my Nissan man also on Wed, will find out the discounted pricing in Aus for comparo (I don't pay RRP)

Fair enough.

Even if your guy can get it a little bit cheaper (which honestly I don't think he will be able to do, since it would be close to a 50% discount from Nissans RRP) I'm still going ahead with this one though. I've been hasseling this supplier for over a month now and if I bail he'll kill me lol.

All the people in buy list 1 have been messaged regarding payment. If every one could pay by next week Monday that would be great. I want to ensure they get here before the Christmas rush in the post.

Done.

I'll see whether for the second group buy we can get a bigger batch sent. I just gotta discuss the customs issue.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
