Gave the stagea some love

Gw m5000 sougi, new filter, flush the attessa and transfer case and new detron 3 for it

Those drain plugs are in there tight as!

O,h and also installed my cruise control , bit of an effort but should be worth it

Bought my Stagea a new windscreen...

And I haven't even driven it yet. (still at compliance FFS)

:(

how did you go with the windscreen? who did you end up going with? and happy with job?

OK so the nismo ecu will take some getting used to. its got a HELL of a lot more bottom end to mid range power. its been pouring with rain and i had the mrs in the car so i couldnt test full throttle

tomorrow ill take her for a drive after i reset it.

might even put in the instrument cluster!

nice andy and Iain! - take em to the track !

rips the actuator hose off .. lets see what 25psi does! :D

btw .. hit my first gutter in the nismo's the other night.. nearly had a heart attack..only put a small cut in the lip of the tyre and a tiny bit of lip rash on the rim..more scared of hitting curbs than i am of blowing a turbo! :)

yeah done the gutter thing before, sucks doesnt it?

to the track? hahah not yet! need to get the transmission looked at. i think with this additional torque, the gearbox wont like it :D

did the ecu idle learn. perfect. 650rpm down from 1000-1100 odd :)

Hanso - i'll be doing the same in preparation for the 28th and leaving the stag in the carport

just won a boot mat for the M35 for 67$ plus shipping.. be like $150.. theres 3 left for 80$ on importmonster with 20mins to go.

get in der if your chasing one!

I finally got around to washing & polishing my Stagea for tomorrow's SAU QLD Charity Cruise. I hate parking under trees at work, FTL.

Likewise. Got out the cut and polish after the wash indicated how poorly other people park/open doors :ermm: bastards.

bought a ring for my soon to be financee
Return it while you still can... :ermm:

Or make sure she gives you an equivalent amount of money to spend on yourself or mods for the car!

Packed the stagea up to the gunnels, just about to get on the boat for the mainland

then 2-3 days of driving and will be back in qld at last

also washed it b4 the trip

fitted up my 3 inch cat back this week. RBD2's old front section and a fujitsubo rear cannon.

flows so much better, just need to adjust the position at the rear.

    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
