awesome stuff Craig - glad to hear the black beast is back on the road :)

mad job in getting it there also.

its too damn far, and im not enough mods along to need a tune myself just yet lol

that said, i havent done an oil change in a while, with the nismo ecu still learning, i got 540km from the last tank of about 70L. thats with some spirited driving also. im pretty happy with the economy of this ecu even though i have a boat load more power/torque!

yeah 540kms wtf ;) --- im lucky to get 450 off boost :S

heh ive given up on mine in the sense of mods for the time being you guys are light years ahead even you Zei20l. ill be a year away from getting a tune and an ecu at this rate - its only destined to get a highflowed turbo for the time being and a new starter :)

ill do the runner spacer and new plugs and rocker gaskets when the turbo gets done. as i cant see myself in the limited space ive got doing engine outs often - until i get a bigger garage.

Spotted my tractor getting 520kms from 62 litres of 98

including going up Mt Tambourine with 5 large adults in the car

:)

Also, c34 rear strut brace fabrication begins next week ;)

He drives like a pussy so no surprise... :) lol

LOL, if it wasn't for him quoting 70 litres, I would have thought he was giving us numbers for his wife's Fiat, not the Stagea. And that would be some serious thrashing of the little buzzbox, too (the car, not the wife ;) ).

Getting a 70+ litre fuel tank into the little Fiat would be a feat, the thing is so small!

Man, this thread is way too quiet. Oh and it always makes me hungry, regardless of if the last few posts contained chat about food or not.

We need Sean, Cyrus, Mr ClownShoesTangles and others to start posting again.

i rekon using the boot i could get 70L in there :)

FYI people, did 240km on 1/4 of a tank to Port Stevens ;) all highway but needed some serious throttle to get past some morons. yes, the wife commented on the car sounding like a plane when i give it a boot full!

i guess 500+ km from a tank isnt all that bad. it needs an oil change so i expect that to get a little better afterwards

need to do the manifold spacer at some stage. not to mention the 456428475840596845673486 suspension parts to go on as well. i wish i had time.............

my m35 acheived regularly 650-700 ks out of a tank cruising mainly 110-115 kph over 5000ks sunny coast - melbourne and many places in between including up to mt hotham -bairnsdale-moe.

around the sunny coast 550-600 per tank 50/50 city-country driving. ;)

Fitted L/H tailgate lamp cluster. Interesting, the cluster I had was from a tailgate that did not have the closer fitted. The plug for the cluster is four pin on the closer model, but only three pin on the non closer. I experienced the same problem on the 25G while fitting a closer.

Why Mr Nissan????????

Now all the probs with the AFM are fixed have wound the boost up to 10psi.Will check it out Monday.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
