Fitted 6 new NGK iridium plugs, oil change and filter, changed the radiator water and bled it, and checked trans fluid which was good.

Feels a little more lively. When I pulled the battery terminal off, i've lost how many K's on the trip, so I can't find out exactly how many k's to a tank! DOH!

Abused it by dumping all of Shits Corner's barbed wire, pipe, concrete and fence posts in at taken to the tip.

Much cardboard used to protect the interior and control the wire

Yesterday I think I broke something?

Anyone know where the fuse box is in the M35?:whistling:

I can't seem to get the rear separate glass hatch to open when I press the button under the windscreen wiper!

It was working, and then just stopped. I think it might be a fuse, because nothing else could explain it. I removed the rear cover and had a look, and the mechanism is fine, so I think it's electrical?

Any hints on what it could be? Driving me nuts!

Theres a couple, one in the drivers footwell, the descriptions are in japanese (But have been translated http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=309837&view=findpost&p=5108325 ) - one of them refers to the a 'trunk lid opener', unsure if thats the right one. Theres another one behind the battery, pop the big plastic cover off and you can see it, the descriptions are in english on it (If memory serves). Someone else was having issues with it the other day, maybe see if you can search for that post :D

should i install HIDs?

and will they make people flash their lights at me because they think they are too bright?

are you talking about after markets or just new globes? i'm currently using 8000k's although I prefer 10,000k.

as long as you have your lights angled down it shouldn't be a problem!...I drive at night mainly and I never get flashed or pulled over.

im just not sure exactly how to angle them propperly....

If they dont have self levelers, then set them up the same way you would any other headlights. Find a nice piece of flat ground with a wall at the end, drivve the car up to the wall and mark off the centre of the headlights. Drive the car back 10 metres, turn the lights on so you can see them on the wall (sometimes dusk is the best time to do this) and then adjust your headlight angles to your personal preference. Personally, I aim for 200mm down @ 10m for the right hand side, and 150mm down and 50mm to the left for the left hand light (helps with offside visibility when there are no streetlights)

I think to post a new topic on lights.

you should have built a fence around your car so no one can steal it :)

my m35 acheived regularly 650-700 ks out of a tank cruising mainly 110-115 kph over 5000ks sunny coast - melbourne and many places in between including up to mt hotham -bairnsdale-moe.

around the sunny coast 550-600 per tank 50/50 city-country driving. ;)

can I ask, did you take the VQ25DET out and put a hyundai 1.3li engine in there? lol

if people flash there lights at you, you flash them back. they're probably just saying hi lol

I have. It is made of brick and is commonly termed a garage :P

It is definitely possible to get over 700kms before the light comes on whilst cruising at 100-120kph.

It has been done a number of times and with a favourable road/breeze, 800kms when the light comes on is possible (rare though)

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
