Don't bother with high mounts.

Its a large amount of extra engineering you don't really need or want, unless of course you want high mounts for the sake of high mounts.

For below 500hp atw look at.

-7 x 2

-9 x 2

HKS GT-SS x 2

34N1 x 2

None of these will make 500 atw on pump fuel but you did say "max power upto 500"

For a proper 500 atw + possibility for alot more look at:

t517z x 2

HKS2530's

-5

HKS GT-RS

There are a large number of other options also but these are generally the more common ones.

500hp - so 330rwkw

GT-SS or Garrett -9

They are your only choice.

Putting 2x KKR480's on there is the dumbest idea I have heard in a while. 2x 480hp turbos for 500hp?

You'll probably make over 450rwkw. But it will be the most unresponsive 450rwkw+ you'd ever see as they are a terrible turbo for response in single form... Let alone having two of them. I'd say at LEAST 5,000rpm before you see anything useful.

You mean 500hp at the crank ash ?

500hp is 375kw I don't think GT-SS or -9 will get you there but definitely to 330rwkw no problems.

I wasn't sure whether he meant at the wheels or engine either .. ?

NFI either, saying '500HP' would be at the motor in the normal world.

which is pretty much spot on the -9 marker, they will make a tad more, but on target with what was asked... that's if its now rwhp of course.

either way for 500HP or 500rwhp, 2x kkr480 is ridiculous.

i suspect he said two, given he already has one, and wants to do it on the cheap... which just ain't gonna happen.

yeah the GTSS will give you a comfortable 550hp at the engine. even a bit more if you want to push them hard. for 600hp+ you want 2530s.. after that.... well there is no shortage of proven twin turbo options for GTRs.

Agree.

The only reason you would bother going highmounts is because you are using turbos so large you cannot mount them in the normal configuration Ala most of the early Japanese drag GT-R's.

There are ofcourse other engineering reasons for it in certain cases however this is not one of those times....

thanks guys for reply :) that is not my first time with masturbating with rb :) wanna proceed little bit more :):( Just wanted to know, am on the way to rebuild my engine and had single turbo, now want to see twin, what you think how much those china shit will get at 1 or 1.2 bar ? :D :D :D

they answered you above mate.

those 2 turbos will see no power and just lag up to 5000 - 5500rpm and they will make around 600hp at wheels.

maybe 2 x kkr 380's will be better for lag but it will still be laggy.

Thinking about it more, 2x 480's wouldn't be on till closer to 6000rpm i reckon at a stab.

And 380's would also be... terrible :)

I mean a -5 is "rated" at 350-380hp or whatever and they start to come good around 3800-4300rpm, the KKR's would be laggier again.

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
