The price is reasonable for somebody who wants to sell quickly, all the GT-Rs on carsales are priced too high.

The only movement I have seen lately was an SA registered 09 which was advertised at $126k and had gone through a few price drops.

44,000kms with some wear showing on the seat side bolsters? Certainly sounds genuine and could be a great buy!

Completely agree - all the ones listed for 140K or so are simply not selling, but I know of at least 3 that sold for mid 120K with 10,000kms or around there, so this price is pretty spot on for a person that wants to sell.

Rego says it expires in March 2011 - but I thought the early ones were only delivered in May 2009 - could it be possible this is one of the early Nissan Aust cars. Regardless, 44,000kms in 18months lets say is a lot, but not excessive - its only around 570kms per week, so its just your regualrly driven daily driver.

Depreciation from 162-165K to 105K is also pretty normal.

Shame its not silver or gunmetal.

This makes one wonder if a few more of these will ultimatley lead to values intersecting with the R34 GT-R VS-II NUR.

This one has already come down to below the value of the N1 R34 GT-R. :P

For sure, just look at the Japan prices for the Nur and compared to R35's you'll see that Nur will be the future classic...................damn, I knew it.

it would have to be a long distance commuter car. in 12 months that's over 3,500 kms a week, which is over 500kms a day 7 days a week! or over 700kms a day 5 days a week. that would be impossible to do in just short 5km-10km trips unless the bloke was a courier... lol.

damnn, does he just hop in and forrest gump that sh!t down to NSW daily? :P

Hmmm. . . someones needs to go back to school

12 months (52weeks) x 3500 kms a week equals 182,000km in a year. . .not 44,000km :P

Less beer Beer Baron :D

846.153846km per week.

169.230769km per day 5days per week. Work is 75km away? allow for shops etc. or work is 50km away, and allow for weekends.

Or call it a drive to a holiday house over the weekend and a couple of drives to work? Not many kms for a year...

I dont remember them having a black one

From memory they had a GMG and a red one

EDIT: Maybe the red was another GMG. Too long ago

there's more than one supercar club in oz :D

I doubt its from the Supercar Club, they only offered a limited number of km's per year on each type of membership so I doubt it would of racked up 44k in 12 months. On a slightly different not does anyone have 105k I could borrow interest free for say the next 20 years :D

Those cars had the k's going wild!

The average each year was around 40000k's (from the horses mouth) so its quite possible.

Honestly, i think 105k is a reasonable asking price and have no doubt it will sell reasonably fast at that...

44k on the clock does not concern me at all, i do about that per year with work in my car...

hence i turn it over every 18 months to 24 months...

my SS I sold with 78k on the clock, the car before that with 67k...

the new car i picked up eariler this year already has 26k on it...

I never leave south east Qld either... Some days I can do 150km easily and not leave Brisbane...

I would have no hassles buying this GTR, in fact if I was buying again now id be looking at it...

44000km in one year! I wish I got to drive my car that much!

Be interesting to see how nice it drives compared to a normal low kay example.

Mine is nearly 3 years old now with barely 14000km on it.

Not exactly my favourite car for a daily drive/commuter.

Either that or this particular GTR has done LOTS of dyno work!!!

Not the best colour either in my opinion........

I thought about this thread yesterday, so i reset my odometer...

It was a heavy day on the road for me yesterday, I did 370km and never left Brisbane...

So as I said eariler 44k in just over a year is easily done if in my line of work...

GTR may not be the most suitable car tho... :D

lol, yeah me not count so good!!! it was 3500kms a MONTH not a week. somehow I did 44,000 / 12 and skipped straight to weeks...

funky could be right it could be a ex prestige car club car. they do rack up a fair few kms...

Will the new owner reveal why the price was so low to stop all this speculation ( asuming he is a forum member) ?

btw congrats to a beaut car!!!!!

What's "so low" about $105,000 +SD for an 18month old car with 44,000kms on the odo, that originally cost $165,000 on the road - it seems spot on. How much would you pay for it mate, 155K hehehe. Owner clearly wanted it sold, he wasn't keen leaving it on carsales for 12months like some of the people advertising their cars on carsales.

Agree completely. I have been following the prices on carsales all year in anticipation of eventually selling my Evo X and moving on to an R35, and many of the cars have been on there for a long time - eg. the white SA car mentioned in the this thread had been on there for as long as I've been watching.

Maybe the fact that it sold in an instant might allude to why the price was perceived as "so low"?

    • For these last 7 years of ownership, I've always had to use a small scissor jack under one of the front tow hooks to raise the front just enough so my low-profile jack fits under to reach my subframe jack point. I'm beginning to get annoyed of always having to do this. Are there any lower low-profile jacks that fit under the gtr lip on a dropped car?
    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
