Its painful to have been at this track only 10 days ago and now having to watch this race on tv :(

Yeah but I love watching Spa since I've been there now. It's the one place I really want to get back to.

I'm really keen to see this weekend if people can hold Blanchimont and the back end of Pouhon flat with the DRS open in Quali. Personally I'm bummed they are banning it through Eau Rouge even for Quali - where's the challenge gone in F1's!!?

Why don't you just find and internet peepshow and get the girl/s to say saucy things to you like "oooh oooh eau rouge" or "spank me on my Blanchimot" or "you can park your bike in my Bust-top"

Do you have a number for me to try? Sounds like a plan! :)

I was only thinking I didnt get any photos of girls from Budapest...which is something I need to be beaten for. There is something in the water in that town.

Fark Nurburgring...Spa is the place to go to. You smile like an idiot just walking around the place. I will get some pics up over the weekend of the trip now I dont have to worry about my earlier concerns

Agreed. Did you find out any dates for next year by chance?? :)

I was also watching FIA GT3's on Speed during the week and they were racing at the Slovakia Ring - needs to be on our list.

lol, sounds awesome just as long as they don't incorporate fagnes or pouhon into the repertoire...

There is some good times in the pipeline...perfect timing with the F1 drive too...lol farked if I will ever be able to afford a decent haircut let alone a house because of silly cars

Michael Schumacher was the fastest man at Spa on Friday morning, however, he was just one of two drivers to set a time before the rain.

However, Schumacher, who crossed the line with a 1:54.355, was one of only two drivers to set a time in the opening ten minutes before the rain came down. The other was his team-mate Nico Rosberg, who was second quickest, 0.474s off the pace.

Jenson Button was the quickest of the drivers in the wet, taking third place with a 2:02.740.

Meanwhile, it was a dismal start to his Renault racing career for Bruno Senna, who crashed at Turn 9 when he lost control on the wet track.

But it was Senna who made his on the barriers as he crashed rearwards into the tyre barrier at Turn 9. Mark Webber headed out, taking third place despite struggling through the Bus Stop. Fernando Alonso claimed fifth place before being dropped as Sebastian Vettel took fourth behind his Red Bull team-mate.

Paul di Resta's morning came to a premature end as he went off at Turn 9, hitting the tyre barrier with the right side of his car. The Force India driver's crash brought out the red flags with 16 minutes remaining due to the position where he was car was stranded. Practice resumed after 10 minutes with Massa improving to third place, Hamilton finally setting a lap time, a 2:04.301, which put him into third place.

However, it was Button who finished in the P3 slot, fastest of those in the wet as the P1 and P2 times were both set by the Merc GP drivers when the track was dry.

i was just going to ask how long do you think bruno would be on the track for before he crashed but he beat me to it.

Nick Heidfeld is taking Lotus Renault GP to the High Court after the team axed him in favour of Bruno Senna.

The team confirmed earlier this week that Senna would replace Heidfeld at this weekend's Belgian GP with the nephew of the late Ayrton Senna also contesting the Italian race in two weeks' time.

However, Heidfeld is adamant he has a valid contract and is now taking the team to court over his axing.

His legal representative Dr Stefan Seitz said: "The interlocutory decision of the court does not infringe on the fact Nick has a valid contract to be one of the two main drivers of the team.

"This position is disputed by the team for apparently purely financial reasons, but we do not intend to rest before Nick's legal position has been fully restored."

Meanwhile, the German's manager Andre Theuerzeit is determined to see the 34-year-old return to a Renault race-seat from the Singapore GP onwards.

"I am disappointed the team is allowed to let another driver take Nick's seat for the next weekends," said Theuerzeit.

"However, I certainly am confident we will be able to enforce a fair solution for Nick in the further proceedings."

beer baron it's lucky we sorted this 'senna' name drama i can just see it now.

did you see senna crash on the weekend?

Ayrton?

would you really want to though? surely the powers that be would make his life somewhat unpleasant until the remainder of his contract. he'd be better off just trying to get a payout. but then again, i suppose he wants to stay in the game.

probably not doing a lot of smiling at the moment

the jerry's dont get involved in that sort of thing

baaaaaaaahahahaha, love your work mate

Fair crack of the whip. You cant be too hard on him. His first time in the car, on those tyres and in the wet at Spa. Others were going off as well...but must have knocked his confidence. He needs to try and build up to a pace and think about getting to a point where he can give it his best in the race at Monza, he needs to work up to that weekend. He isnt going to do anything this weekend other then ruin his chances.

After Monza we will see if he is trending towards the shitness level of PK Jr or somewhere better then that....but even then thats not really enough time. I suspect he will be booted for my man Romain Grosjean anyway so not much he can do unless a Brazilian sugar daddy comes to his aid. Note that Grosjean topped GP2 practice with no spins/biining etc though something has just gone wrong with his quali as he is nowhere :(

    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
    • You're going to miss not worrying about rust in the strut towers like the Skyline shitboxes out there
    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
