I picked up a black RS Four S last night. Just need to paint it Sonic Silver like my actaul Stagea now.

PSN: iHanso, feel free to add me. Or to swap/gift cars as required for trophies. I have a Subaru 360 with over 300k kms on the clock, that gets to trophies. I also have 5 cars spanning the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & 00s for the half a decade trophy. More than happy to gift them if needed, once used just gift them back.

LOL, I bought a Volvo 245 GLT for "shitzengiggles" the other night - it was a slug but I (kinda) fixed that with some mods to bring it up to around 170hp and a close ratio box. :D

Before the mods it would barely get to the top of 3rd gear in most sections of a track, now it does a lot better - but it still only tops out at about 168km/h... :( Still haven't done any suspension mods and it manages to get around quite a few cars in the back sections of the tracks I've used it on, but it gets slaughtered once you get to a straight.

I have only seen a single Stagea so far, but I didn't have enough credits to buy it at the time.

That HKS CT230R Lancer is an awesome little thing to drive, though! Been using that a fair bit in arcade mode when I have friends over.

Awesome, but DAMN WHERE IS MINE!!! Haha, I'll keep looking, just hit level 15.

I can't wait to get one, get it fully worked, buy the torque controller send all the power to the rear and take it driftin!!

trust me, you dont need the torque controller to drift it once its got over 500bhp :P

my 2.5 litre black stagea is my drift car haha..... havent seen the 2.6 litre yet.

and i got that car on level .... 4 .... lol used for 11000 credits i think it was ..... im on level 13 now ....

my gf bought me a ps3 and gt5 for chrissy

i poped into the car lot on level 3 or 4 (had just won a few races) and there was a nice black 260rs for sale :D

now has about 400hp

tsukuba in the wet = :-D

i have a 260 and a RS4-S, both black, and thinking about it i dont think i've seen any other colour except for black in the used car lot. i haven't used them much, they just aren't quick enough. i'm just finishing off extreme in A-spec and about half way through in B-spec, then its the endurance races. has anyone done these yet? the 24hour races will be a killer.

Tom, if you want some cars add me and i shoot some though, PSN is Stagea99. i do the backup - send - restore trick so i don't loose any cars when i send them thumbsup.gif

shall do

cheers

i've got both rs260 and stock stagea. i find it funny that the rb25 puts out more power and is lighter when fully worked. Also should have spent more time saving money rather then buying random cars.

Like my 1600 coupe, bluebird coupe, ta22 celica, dodge charger and stageas!

i found i was constantly running out of money early on. had to keep grinding the same race just to win enough to buy a car required in another. once you get up past professional money isn't an issue, and doing seasonal events is good if you have the car for it, prize pots can be up to a couple of million. i keep buy cars all the time, mainly nissans and rare ones that pop up in the used car dealership an i've still got over 12mil, so i think money flow isn't as big of an issue latter on.

my biggest mistake was i ignored bspec until i got up to about professional in aspec. i had to go back and buy alot of cars i sold just to compete in those races.

i had to use lotus yellow i think, was the closest to i had to "electric yellow"

and i bought an r31 gts-r :D

and various gtr's (i found an 89 r32 gtr for the 80's races)

I'm selling my code on eBay, I haven't even played B Spec yet. The only reason I bought the Signature edition was that I thought that the SLS AMG competition was open to everyone who forked out for that pack, not just for 15 players across the world who have no life except for playing GT5 B Spec 24/7.

Starting bid is $20, Buy It Now for $150. Up for the next 3 days.

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
