you mean 250rwkw @ approx 13psi while the turbo is still half asleep, should see at least 300rwkw on 20+psi - I hope..

Great result so far, looking very interesting. My SS1 made 244rwkw on 98 fuel and 279rwkw on Caltex Eflex so everyone can get a rough idea that it would be around 250rwkw on 98 fuel in its current setup. Keen to see what it does with everything sorted!

DVS JEZ how is the ebay manifold holding up? and what turbo is it running?

Im keen to get one of these turbo's but don't want to spend the money on a 6Boost manifold for a budget turbo...

$250 mani +750 turbo + 400 gate + 600 for intake and dump ect = $2K for 300kw, seems awesome to me.

+500 for coilpacks

+700 for injectors

+500 for FMIC

+2000 for ecu and tune

+1000 for a clutch

+1000 for micselaneous bitsand pieces and fixing other little problems that may arise..

And lets hope your not paying for any labour...

2k for 300kw...yeah right...lol

are you still having troubles with the turbotech jez as i have one sitting in my shed and im on a bit of a tight budget also. and dont really want to fork out for a ebc if a turbotech is going to do the job

Someone on here made 330-340rwkw with a t67-25g (on 98) im pretty sure. So the td06sl2-20g should crack 300 with enough boost, And with much better response.

Will echo some earlier comments on this thread. I am very keen to see any engine that produces over 300rwkws on PULP98. Be it an SR20, EVO or RB25/26 or RB25/30. I think you will find that they often make 270-280. Occassionally 280-290rwkws....but I have never seen 300rwkws out of one .

So not sure why people say "should" regardign 20G compressors cracking 300.

Anyway, if current discussions pan out than I am going to billet compressor wheel on my 20G. So will be interesting to see if it loses power, makes power, loses response/makes response

Would you also be able to plot the boost curve? I am curious to see the difference between a 20 and 25. Especially since your VCT is off. Just means the extra compression and 500cc is working for you

I think I'm expecting more also. There are plenty of results on Evo's to compare outright power against, I dont think outright power changes that much across engine types provided the motor can flow.

Was talking about turbo upgrade and not the other stuff. Hypergear turbo's can get 300kw for $1550 but that's internal gate on standard manifold and you still need to make a intake. GT3076 again is either internal and might not make the power for more money.

my mates GTR made 337kw in rear wheel drive mode on 98.

luv psi the controller should be fine i think its more of a gate issue. i think it made my turbo laggy because i only had the 7 pound spring so the controller was holding back 11 psi its to much. try and get your gate as close as possible to boost pressure then use the controller to fine tune. how did you go with the manifold

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
