Hey Scott this aint the truck turbo thats staying on it, I only fitted the truck GT3782 for giggles to see if the bonnet would close and kill my curiosity. This is a Kando TD06H-25G with a billit compressor with TD07 comp cover and 12cm rear but like you, I'm also quite confident that it will flow more than enough through a 3" cover

Sorry if I came across wrong.

That 3" TD07 housing is a truck one im pretty sure. I was just trying to make a point that you dont have the same 3" housing dori tried. Dori's one was the standard .60 trust style 3" thingy that has had surge holes drilled into it. Yours is an actual surge ported housing (not a modified one).

Most trucks use surge ported housings, and its not a typical trust housing which is what makes me confident its off a truck.

All in all im sure yours will work mate, no need to worry at this stage.

Did another track night last night and turbo still going strong, ran 1.4bar and 515hp all night and didn't miss a beat :)

How many km's you put on it in the last 18 months Simon? It's def proven its reliability

Id like to know if Simons has cracks on the turbine.

Twice as curious to see if the 20g I buy comes with complimentary cracks lol. Logic says no, because the td06 and t67 are a different shaft and therefore cast (shaft and wheel are one item).

Viva la cheap Chinese rubbish.

You would think it would have let go by now if it did

Cheap but not so nasty

I'd probably say around 5000km's. They would be fairly hard km's as most would be at the track, drags, powercruise motorkhanas etc. I have a work car that I drive most of the time.

I don't think that the cracks 'battery' has would cause the wheel to fail, they are not at a stress point (as far as I can tell). For all I know mine has been cracked the whole time as well

Ahhh true that, and yeah your probably right about the housings now that I think of it.

Had my l2 20g off last weekend to weld an elbow to the outlet, mine didnt seem to have the cracks in the exh wheel like the 67s. Turbo hasnt done too much work, but it still looks and feels brand new with the housings off. Couldn't be happier (well i could if the car was still registered and i wasnt goin to court)

why no burnouts :(

I want burnouts damnit....

We got told just because there was a chicane doesn't mean it's a excuse to do burnouts, luckily for me I just put my foot down and it layed lines. Not my fault :)

Just need 10 grand before I fit my $800 turbo.

Just kidding mate haha, should be a weapon! Maybe avoid the anti surge... Dori34 proved it wasnt so effective.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
