does anyone here have dyno graphs of the kando td05 18g and td05 16g on an rb20? ive been searching through and getting mixed results but not too many graphs, i'm considering getting one of these turbo's and would like to compare spool times mainly so boost/rpm/power graphs are much preffered, thanks :)

Do they even sell these turbos anymore? I don't see them on their site anymore.

yep they still do, check their ebay store, and even though it doesnt have it as an option on the ebay store you can get them with a billet wheel and 9 blade turbine wheel (asked myself), im possibly getting one of these turbo's for my rb20 and just wondering what the response/power is like from people who have had one of these on their rb20

Hi guys! I read, read the topic, the result is some of the turbines? Price quality? Trusted by themselves? Let's say if we talk of the TD06 on RB25 neo6, 1kg every day to ride on the opening event and any blow 1.2-1.3? It is necessary to consider all these turbines? From the machine is required - town riding 300-380ls.

Sorry if something goes wrong with the wording of the proposals, as using an interpreter.

After many years i finally got around to tuning mine. RB25, TD06 20G 10cm rear, on e85 with all sorts of supporting mods. 17psi straight off the external wastegate so no more boost was added with my boost controller due to the rear brakes sticking on.

Keen to get out and drive her now thats for sure!! Will re book for more boost after the new year!! Really happy with the results.

I have a genuine GReddy TD06 20G, albeit the L2, and Mine also Dies off up top like yours does. Mine dies off even harder. We think it was due to having a f**ked cat. Now had 3" straight pipe exhaust.

Does show the Kando's perform similar though.

My Results were very similar... 270kw, 430nm, on 98 fuel, with stock plenum, GReddy manifold. same boost.. Would have been almost identical on e85.

Now have 264 cams, E85, new ecu and other stuff going in.

Well done. Be good to see the outcome with more boost. ;) It'll Be a blast to drive as it is.

Wow both are really close. Just shows that e85 does give you that little extra.

I have Tomei pon cams witch I think has helped the top end to open up a little more. Interested to see your results with the new gear going in and on E, when I have cash again ill rebook mine and update again!

You're wanting to go with a completely different compressor wheel. A housing profiled for a 25G won't work with a 20G wheel.

Buy a complete turbo. What are you hoping to achieve with the downsize in cold side spec?

I'm just about finished my rb2530.

Im gonna get a tune for both t67 and td06 20g.

That way I can decide for myself what I like best threw the seat of my pants.

Not interested in dyno numbers. I'm interested in what I have under my foot. It's purely for street now. But I'd like to have the option of changing turbo to suit my wants and if I don't like it il change back. (I can burn money easily) but I'm not getting gt3076

I have ran a TD06-20G with a 10cm housing and 8cm housing on an RB20. Difference in response is HUGE. No difference in power

I have ran a 12cm housing and 10cm and 8cm housing on the same TD06-20G on an RB25 and the response is light years different again. 8cm was mega punchy but fell over after 6,000rpm. The 12 cm was laggy and basically the 12cm-20G on the RB25 was the same as the RB20 with 20G and 8cm...so big step backwards.

The 10cm was the sweet middle, pulled well to redline but certainly wasnt as violently response in the 3,000rpm range as the 8cm

I quite liked the 8cm on the RB25. If my car was purely street I would have kept it as it drove like a diesel truck. But the lack of top end would have annoyed me when driving at the track

    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
    • I suppose it was relatively stock too, the JZ motor handle most mods thrown at them without even breaking a sweat
    • I saw your intro update, are you sure you've actually had a starter motor failure? You mention it could be the alarm causing it. I'm assuming you've got a no start issue, but what are the exact symptoms, as there could be a few reasons it has stopped wanting to start.
