Dropped car off at dart automotive on Saturday morning. Turbos, i dump pipes, fuel pump, injectors and cam gears have been fitted today. Power fc gets fitted and tuned tomorrow and pick car up tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to seeing the results

It is certainly better than on the stock pump but at redline I am getting up to 95% duty cycle but this is with AFR of 10.5 so not too worried about that.

I agree, nothing to worry about. Rich AFR & still duty cycle to spare so headroom for more performance. Nice one.

called bearepairs

basically as follows:

him:"we don't touch the tierode ends to do an alignment"

me: "but you said you inspected everything under it"

"oh yeah, wanna bring it in and check it all again"

"yeah"

(slightly summarised)

fingers crossed they don't jew it up this time, heading up to the boat this arvo

so keep an eye out of me between melbourne and the gold coast

Took the car to Nizfest on the weekend - a club day at Hampton Downs - Z club, Primera club and my club: Skylines Downunder - which has a Stagea section. Didn't take part in the show and shine or Gymkhana but had a track session. The new RB30 setup is not fully sorted yet (will post up details and charts when it is) but still fast enough to beat some of the GTRs (R33 and 34 that is, not the new GTRs) but eventually ended in a cloud of smoke. Will be engine out job to fix some oil control issues (smaller restrictors, head drain, sump breather). But getting there slowly!

yeah queensland is the same, and quite obviously we pay a premium for them

Yeah it's weird.

Up to 5 letters, and minimum 1 number, and you pay a once off fee, around $70 last time I did it.

6-7 letters is a different class, and you have to pay per year. Used to be $300-400 per year.

colour went down on car today just pearl over top tommorrow, also got my new plates for when she is all done:

Loving the 2 tone and the blue stripe; can't wait to see it with clear on. Very nice work.

just casually drove from melbourne to the gold coast in 2 days

best fuel consumption (off bp ultimate funnily enough) was a staggering 9.63562753 l/100km

Started fitting the Transgo shift kit to the M35 today.

While the car was on the hoist I noticed the drivers side front drive shaft has split the inner boot. How much are people paying for the new boot and is it a DIY job to fit the boot?

Yep on my mates hoist. Shift kit is all fitted, just ran out of time so will refit the valve body tomorrow and test drive.

So not too bad a job then? Got to do mine soon.

All going to plan so far, just take your time and double check everything. It was good having a mate check every step with me. If you have GOOD mechanical skills it shouldn't be a problem to do yourself.

I paid $125 to get a work shop to do mine in Sydney.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
