Got an email back last night after seeing what we could do to speed things up.

The fittings they use are actually manufactured by Speedflow in Australia for them. I have the part numbers for the fittings.

So maybe I should email Speedflow and see if we can buy the fittings ourselves or something and Hel will pick up the bill?

Dam another delay >_<

I'm really keen to have black fittings but I also want the kit asap. Hmmmmm i'll wait and see what they come back with.

A free braided brake kit would be pretty sweet :turned:

PM replied Paul. I'll get them to send yours out (and any one else that doesn't care about the red/blue fittings).

I'll email speedflow today about the fittings to see what the go is. Maybe they can send them all out to every one or something.

We need 2 x 101-08 and 2x 103-08 each in black.

I'm happy to wait for black fittings.

& would prefer not to have to get black fittings put on myself...

If they're really sorry a free clutch line wouldn't go astray :whistling:

Maybe ship the parts to Speedflow, get Speedflow to fit them and ship them to our locations. All insured incase they go missing/get damaged for any reason. Just seems stupid to wait for parts in Australia to be shipped to the UK to be fitted there and then wait to be shipped back to us in Australia.

I'm able to wait, not happy but I "need" the black connectors more then I "need" the cooler to be installed urgently.

Appreciate all your effort.

Good idea. Will hit them up with that one. Thanks for your patience guys. I've decided this is going to be the last group buy I do, just not worth these headaches anymore. Between this and the GTR pedal drama i've had enough.

Well I think you do a good job Phil. The fact that you keep us informed is all I ask for when waiting for parts to arrive. Anything else is pretty much out of your hands and the fact that "sh*t happens" is something we have to deal with.

It's a shame your not going to be doing anymore group buys >_< i've been saving hopeing a diff group buy comes up soon haha.

Really appreciate all your efforts in putting these together and following everything through to the end.

I just cant believe how these places can't handle putting together a box of parts and posting them out, you do all the hard work, finding buyers getting the funds together and sending each part out individually.

Yep it blows my mind aswell.

Anyway I am still waiting to hear back from Speedflow to see what they say and also to hear back from Hel to see what would be the best way to go about this whole thing if we get the fittings directly through Speedflow.

Also finding out if the red/blue fittings are actually allready attached to the braided lines since in the photos of the kits, they are seperate. This would make it a bit easier since we wouldn't have to remove them.

I guess its hard being the middle man, but what you have been doing is helping out fellow SAUers with great deals. :worship:

If only they were on the ball like you are there would be no problems

Don't give up, just find a better dealer. I think I've found one or two in VIC who seem to be doing very good deals. for pads/ rotors/brake kits.

Mate you've done a good job putting this group buy together, its not your fault companies stuff up the order....

But i'm also keen on just getting it sent out, black, red or blue fittings doesnt bother me... But yea i agree with the others, ask for compensation...

Guys one of the guys has asked for a refund (which is completely understandable) however due to the cost of these, I simply can't afford to refund out of my own pocket. So if some one doesn't mind waiting to see this through they can take his spot. Otherwise I'll have to hit up Hel for a refund.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
