Original manual and "how to drive your GTR" in leather compendium come with car.

I have owned the the car for 5 yrs having bought it after an idler pulley failure at 245,000km.

New RB26dett engine (3000km ago), clutch, brake rotors, pads and master cylinder have been fitted.

It is in excellent condition, drives very well, only needing some cosmetic improvements to be perfect.

I have many spares that could be part of a deal but will only sell the spares if the car is sold.

Spares include a complete engine needing head reconditioning. Short engine. 4WD R32 GTR gearbox. Nismo Group A spec RS 581 turbos. 700cc Sard injectors, Tomei cams. Aftermarket manifolds.

This is a rare, collectible car that will appreciate in the future but can be enjoyed and driven regularly now.

Also listed on Carsales.com.au and Unique Cars June Edition.

I would like a quick sale so asking $ 37,500

The first owner painted the car black after hitting a cat very early in the piece.

Apparently Black was a $5000 option.

I think all the Australian cars are a light grey under the bonnet.

The paint code KJ1G on the vehicle plate is for Jet Silver Metallic, not black that the car is painted. May explain the mis-matched engine bay colour.

Good luck with the sale.

Certainly not all silver under the bonnet, check the immaculate one for sale on the forum is still black under the bonnet. This is a great chance for someone to restore this thing and get a bargain.. Needing a full respray after hitting a cat though... Would be blown away if the front lip needed replacing..

First owner was apparently a well off dentist with a country practice in Bunbury.

I assume he actually wanted a black one in the first place.

Perhaps out of respect to the cat??

Under the bonnet certainly doesn't look as though its been changed.

That's my old car !

Can't believe it's been 5yrs since I had it up here on the forums for sale.

I still miss this one :(

The original motor clicked over 240,000kms before the idler pulley seized as the car was being parked. So valves will be bent in the old motors head. Worth grabbing the old engine so as to have matching numbers.

The dodgy on the paint code may have something to do with the owner previous to me having a this car and a silver one. The silver one had a black paint code from memory.

Is the new motor a reconditioned one Frank?

Someone buying this car will certainly be getting a nice GTR. Having owned a few , this one is my favorite. :D

Hi

Glad to hear you are still around. Time flies. I think its 5 yrs next month.

Certainly is your old car.

There was some head damage but basically it was quicker to get another motor at the time.

Planned to rebuild the old one with all the good bits but one of those things that hasn't happened.

Certainly have all the bits to build a really good one.

I would imagine whoever bought the GTR would want at least the old block.

The new motor is a R33 GTR. RB26dett

Rings, bearings and turbos overhauled. Goes very well.

Getting almost the same hp you were getting with just a little extra boost and a fairly standard motor.

GTR still goes well. Nice and tight. Scary fast.

Got in touch with the original owner's son who told me it was his mother's car mainly.

She had it painted black.

Like to sell to someone who will appreciate her.

Frank

Hi,

Do you still have your car?

Perhaps the cars could catch up?

Does anyone want to give me an offer???

:action-smiley-069:

This car probably sat next to mine in the dealership.

Free bump, great price.

This car is still for sale.

Asking $35,000 or near offer.

These are now quite rare. Cheap price due to r33 rb26dett engine and black paint.

Good value

Frank

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
