nice mate. I must say I'm a bit shocked by the size of the coolers!! will be a fair bit of weight up front. is it really necessary to have that much core? for a big power street car I could see it but for a track car that really seems like a lot.

love the custom front end etc though. :)

Its to keep options open for the car.. eg. 20 lap races etc.

Also, they probably look heavier than they are.

The front end will be much lighter than stock ;)

I would have to agree with beer baron, but i was looking at the snow plough the air going to have to pass through, the frontal area of the cores looks huge. A V mount set up was not considered?

loving the build and all the excellent work you guys are doing.

Hi Guys

Hard thing with build up threads is that you never see the whole picture, when the front body shell is on the car all will be revealed, the coolers where designed with one thing in mind Aero and thus the entry and exit of the ducting going to the cooler is very important. So yes with no body on it, it may look excessive but in reality it will produce very impressive down-force numbers. Also don't be deceived by the cooler they are all PWR's new light weight design.

cool. that makes sense. I know the cores are super light, it's the fluid inside them that's heavy!

and yeah I know with bodywork on and proper ducting frontal area as presented to the airflow is much reduced. I still think you'll find you just don't need that much cooling. having said that I'm sure the guys are on top of things and have done their sums.

either way can't wait to see it. time is ticking away!!

Hey guys just a teaser of some of the fab we have been doing!! we are getting there hopefully we will get a noise out of it very soon.

Better be careful driving it in summer... might have overheating problems! :-P

F***ing incredible work!

Amazing work guys....

Good luck today (hopefully your there  )

Nope. Still waiting for the carbon guy. Everything else is right to go but have no front clip. This is holding everything up and it's just one delay after another from him. Only have a week left and doubt Drew will be able to test it at all. It's fcuking pathetic with the amount of money spent to be let down like this.

Cheers

Marty

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
