traffic was pretty messed up from it.

i was just about to get off at calga, and the cop waved at me.. told me to follow 5 highway patrol cars down the freeway to gosford.. we were doing like 5km/h the whole way, had a huge headache by the end of it from all the flashing lights.

when we went past the accident scene it was all clear, was like grass and dirt on the rd a bit, but the cops (and im guessing towtrucks) into the old look out on the north side of the bridge, saw all the flashing lights in there as were coming down the bridge.

Our prayers go out to the persons family that died in the crash.

"Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following yesterday’s fatal crash on the F3.

The collision occurred about 1km south of the Peats Ridge Road on-ramp, Somersby, about 4.30pm yesterday (Monday 30 May).

Early investigations suggest a silver Holden Commodore, being driven by a 52-year-old man, was travelling south when it crossed to the incorrect side of the road and collided with three other vehicles.

The driver of the Commodore suffered fatal injures and died at the scene.

The 38-year-old driver of a Nissan GTR suffered multiple fractures and he remains in hospital, while the 50-year-old driver of a Barina suffered a broken sternum and also remains in hospital.

The third driver of a Ford was not injured."

Good to hear, however still unfortunate that there was a death. Condolences to all involved, their friends and family. It's a shit section of road at the best of times.

Like the others here best wishes for him and hope the surgery goes well.

I'm sure it goes without saying that if there is something the club can do, please let us know.

Thanks Eric, he will be extremely appreciative of the support from SAU

Maybe we should organise a hospital drive by cruise so he can at least hear the RB music :teehee:

Seriously though, if there is a DVD player in his room I can bring some videos of club events and I have a stack of motive DVD's I'm happy to loan him if he's going to be stuck in the hospital for a while.

I know what it's like to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but luckily I walked away with just some physio.

Thanks Eric - You've just shown once again what a brilliant and supportive community we have here at SAU - I will be visiting him later today and will pass on all the messages of support.

    • Ironically the GTT was quite reliable in the 7 years of ownership. From memory I've only had to replace a radiator and coilpacks out of inconvenience
    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
