Hey Jack - you wouldn't happen to have any old GT-R fitment 18 x 10.5's laying around unused I could borrow for a day?

You can borrow your old 10.5's if you want Snowy. I need to do a bit of a shuffle first and get a fresh set of tyres on the 9.5's - should have it done tomorrow.

Russ - there's always PIARC in Oct and Nov for you to run a time there.

I've been inspired by the whole WTAC thing and reckon I'm having a crack at Clubman next year in the new toy (because basically Clubman is Targa spec so it fits with the cars development). But what that means is you're going to be my bench mark - only I have to try and do it on street rubber!(Given you were 0.5s ahead of the winning Clubman time this year)

So - 1.43's on the OEM street rubber is the eventual goal. It's going to be fun!!! (And scary!! LOL)

Do like very much :) You've chosen the right car to do it in too!

The bench mark will be moving again next year... I'm aiming for a 39 :) Not quite sure how I'll do it yet haha.

Bunnings trip to pickup some aluminium sheeting. Wicked front splitting and flat under tray.

Also to the more experienced drivers. There are going to be a few new guys at this event in DT or other classes. It would like nice if you could give up 10 mins of your time to go out with these drivers in the first reccy session.

I'll take the lightest person - cheers ;)

OK after talking to the WRX guys seems we have 24 entries with SAU listed as the nominated club....wow. Motorsport is fashionable again!

However we Have 4 DT guys that we really need to step up and help out with.

So guys I'm kinda looking in the corner with:

John

Ant

Andrew

Chris

Jack

and yes Matt if you feel comfortable.

You all have the most track experience here and remember it is usually only one session in the morning where you are in the car, and we are getting DT separated from groups 1&2 to give you time to get ready to go out yourself.

having never done PI in anger myself I'm not qualified for it unfortunately.

So...who up for it?

Martin

Does anybody know what time scrutineering starts?

What about the driver briefing - what time is that suppose to be?

How about the first session, sighting laps. I presume that would start 9am but I'm not really sure.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
