Good stuff....

the internets he says shes says can drive you crazy...I went to the extent of buying a new turbo for mine cause for the last 4 months I havent been able to drive it.. So I sit here reading stuff to kill time and on paper full boost @ 3600 and 235kw, its not so crash hot..

Got it up and running today drove it around a bit, give it a few clutch kicks and i was having a ball, so much so i couldnt care less about the new turbo atm I just wanna drive..

just bolt it up get it tuned and I bet you will love it..then 1 of 2 things will happen

1.. you will realize it wasnt worth all the headache and expense and give up on it..

2..you will freaking love it, the bug will bite and you will start a list to mod more shit..

Busy training with air for other purposes today .

A std BB type GT30 turbine measures around 59.9 by 54.9mm inducer and exducer .

The cropped ones from memory are 56.4 by 51.6mm (84 TRIM) OR 56.4 by 53.6mm (90 trim) .

Your calls , my preference is for Garrett or HKS GT30 "T3" flanged GT30 turbine housings . The HKS GT Pro S ones need a bit more work to make the dump pipe and if you particularly wanted one of their different A/R ratios its probably worth it .

I'm not sure what size because there isn't a lot of feedback with these GTX compressor wheels .

A .

Ok ok u guys have talked me into getting the .82 garrett housing lol!!!! ive spoken to MTQ today and they are gunna let me exchange my sonic housing for the garrett unit tomorrow arvo and they have a dump pipe as well so its gunna cost me another $500 to swap housings and get a new dump pipe.......

So will the little 14psi actuator that i have pictured in here be up to the task or is that somethin else ill need to look into?????

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
