Hey everyone.

I was just driving home from newcastle, and on the hume highway (was going around 115ish) over took this proton with two blokes that barely fit in it because they were going real slow.

So after over taking them the then sped up and sat right next to me, i looked over and they were both staring at me and my girlfriend, we ignored them and continued for 5-10 minutes, slightly glancing over to see that they were still staring.

we then slowed to the 80 km road works and he was then slowing down and flogging it past me.

what did he expect?? to race me over 120??

just wondering if you sydney people get this sort of crap on a regular basis???

Lol, I saw a POS EB Falcon the other night, every panel a different colour; trying to chase a Gallardo through traffic!

The Gallardo slotted a couple of neat gaps and took off; honestly I could see the Falcon plowing into the back of the Lambo the way he was carrying on.

And if he'd somehow managed to get in front of the Gallardo he have been all "Yeah moit; I farken burned off a Lambo last night! Farken foreign shitbox..."

Here are some pics of my other car...........

How many stories do think I could tell?

Half of them you probably wouldn't believe, I know I wouldn't!.....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: LOL.

Bob.

you poor man bob

i feel so sorry for you :P

2 Sundays ago 2 P plate bogans in a Pulsar SSS wanted a run. I wouldn't play so at the next set of lights the driver started spitting at my car.

I got out of the car and started taking photos of him and his car, He then told me to FO.

I smiled and told him my brother is the Senior Sargent at Parramatta LAC and he will be talking to him soon. ...... He stopped spitting then.

Generally speaking I get everything from thumbs up to sheer abuse.

I had a fool in a Commodore ute lean out of the car one day and just violently spew out obscenities for no reason. He must have been off his tree as I didn't even understand what he was saying.

I get asked if I'm a drug dealer or criminal. (And no I'm neither!)

Service stations are interesting, I don't think I've ever filled up without someone making a comment.

I drive a VY Commodore as my daily and that's a lot less stressful.

This is what Jeremy Clarkson said about his Ferrari, and from experience I agree with him.....

Bob.

Who SPITS?!?! Srsly, what is wrong with people

I get hassled a bit, but never abusive. There's been a few times on my many trips up the Hume to Sydney where a carload of people have played for a long period of the trip.... speeding up next to me, waving out the window, slowing down so I overtake, then overtaking me again... REPEAT

Gets slightly creepy when they don't just drive on, you wonder how long they're going to keep doing it for :/

I had a good one a few weeks ago,

I was going through the airport tunnel and a few local rock apes hanging out their beatup crap box trying to get me to give it a belt as they wanted to hear it. I ignored it for a bit but laughed my arse off when they called me a pussy and sped off... Only to be pulled over about 5 kms up the road....

I gave them a toot as I drove past! Haha

^Chick in a sports car, you must get a fair bit of attention though. Ever been given any numbers or is that too fast and the furious?

Clarkson also said, about his gallardo, he had to sell it because every yobbo in a peugeot tried to drag him lol.

I had something similar a few months ago after having dinner with some friends at hogs breathe at northmead. A p plater plusar with 5 lebs in it decided they'd spit at my 34 as i was turning onto james ruse drive, then tail gate me all the way along.

long story short, I let them follow me will they were good and lost in the back streets of oatlands and went on my merry way.

I had a guy chuck a ice cream at my window because He was being a douche and trying to over take me from the outside parking lane.

Actually one day when my partner was in his GTR some douche decided at the lights to spit on his car. Lucky for my partner and not so much for the passenger of the other car my partner had half full macca's cup and chucked it right into the window of the other car... lol... I believe they weren't impressed but somehow I don't think they will ever try that trick again.

Hahaha Dif I remember hearing that story before! Perfectly timed :D

I assume you're talking to me as YoYo's a guy :D

One time, again on the Hume, a car load of guys did what I already posted above but they also wrote their phone number on a big piece of cardboard and kept waving it out the window every time they went past me lol

Another guy was next to me at the lights at Rockdale and then followed me to where I parked at the shops and gave me his number.

wow this is popular!!!

this is so strange to me!!! i cant believe all these stories!!!! i never knew people cared that much! this is the first annoying/bad experience.

i usually get waves from kids in the back seat, or husbands in the passenger seat haha.

i spose i dont see much of a car scene in shellharbour, just everyones sv6 with straight pipes blaring through the main street.

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
    • The video for the servicing and fuel filter change can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44 One of the main jobs I wanted to do before the car officially went on the road, was to remove the awful looking blue silicone hoses. There's nothing wrong with having coloured silicone hoses, but I realise as I'm getting older I prefer monotone engine bays with a splash of colour on the engine cover(s). I cover this in a lot more detail in the Youtube video, so unfortunately there's limited photos of the process. The intercooler, upper radiator, boost vacuum and upper breather hoses were all changed to black silicone with mikalor clamps. The only blue left is a blanking cap at the back of the inlet manifold and the GReddy pulleys (which will be replaced for stock when the cambelt gets replaced) While the intercooler pipes were off I gave them a quick clean/polish too A before photo I do have a replacement air filter on its way. Fuse box covers were painted blue, they're now satin black Another job on the list while the bumper was off, is to add some mesh https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737966256_99b28bfa30_c.jpg[/img] I was hoping to use some thin wire to secure it, but it seems I've misplaced it and the wire I had was too thick to twist easily. I ended up using cable ties for the time being https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131882_c2b7989dcc_c.jpg[/img] Was pleasant to see this https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131627_8b2aab13b3_c.jpg[/img] The last thing to do was to fix the front grill and re-mesh that to match but I ran out of time The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FsF6tgizE&t=23s
