turboedsloth
What spark plugs are you using? As the coppers are usually pretty cheap at both those places. Unless your constantly changing your iridiums/platinums? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6044856 Share on other sites

Jeremy93
Hey mate If you're usuing copper they're only 4.50 each, 6 is around $30 If you change them every 20000 kms or 3 months it's really not that much, if you're having issues with them try gapping them to .8 if you're not alreadyndoing that Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6044997 Share on other sites

Is copper better than ngk? I won't mind go for that if they have the same quality! JonnoHR31
ngk is the brand. they made coppers, platinums and iridiums. coppers give the best spark of all but they dont last as long as platinums and iridiums. for a sr20 go buy a set of coppers, should be less than $20 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6045109 Share on other sites
GTS-t VSPEC
Definately go with copper plugs, work fine on my car Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6045228 Share on other sites
ossie_21
Bought 1 set of iridium or platinum once, lasted about 2 weeks. Copper ones have always lasted at least 5000ks, one set I had in for over 10,000 before one decided to finally die Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6045303 Share on other sites
PM-R33
You don't bother wasting money on iridiums or platinums on a modified import. Put coppers in and change them a few times a year. Will be cheaper overall and the car will run better with constantly having fresh plugs in there (as opposed to fouled up platinums/iridums). Hank Scorpio
Anybody have NGK part numbers for copper spark plugs for RB25DET and RB26DETT? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6047655 Share on other sites
JonnoHR31
use bcpr6es bkr6e if you want v grooves joel, it depends on the condition of your coilpacks mainly but if they're standard you'll probably have to gap them down to avoid spark blowing out. if you dont wanna experiment too much just gap them to .8 and see how they go. luvpsi
Yeah I spoke to Andrew at hyperdrive he said gap them to .8 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6047784 Share on other sites
ahh 33 s2
Get the bcpr7es cooler heat range, less prone to detonation and come gapped at .8 but can't get from super cheap or the likes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6048423 Share on other sites
JonnoHR31
only useful if your making a fair bit of power with an aftermarket ecu. pointless with a standard ecu and will just foul up quicker Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/379128-spark-plugs/#findComment-6048437 Share on other sites
