Tell you the truth I thought it was shit. I knew the other guy was a VE v6, and it was line ball right to the end. I thought I'd only go 14.x

Wasn't as fast as other runs, because I think I held 3rd too long. Was shifting at 6k, because there is no more power over that, I was into 4th every time before the line.

Alex, how did you find manually shifting? Was there much delay in getting the next gear?

Mine seems much slower changing in manual mode compared to how hard/fast it slams thru in auto under wot.

It's pretty much instantaneous Leon. Only gear I have to think about is 1-2 which feels like a 500rpm lag. Other than that it's pretty much on the dot, say 200rpm. That's the benefit of being able to adjust the torque management tables in uprev.

Its also a product of the Transgo kit as you guys know.

Where it doesn't drop into gear is when you are on part throttle or light throttle, and if you are using manual, it will take quite a while to pick up the next gear. I could tune this out, but it would mean slightly harsher shifts on auto which really there is no benifit. If you put your foot down, then it shifts up when you ask.

Yeah, 13.84 at 99.98......FUUUU.... Wish it said 100.

Funny enough, my 14.8 single spinner still went over 100mph. Was in rwd. Will go back in awd fr some launch action.

As weird as it is wheel spin normally helps with mph even tho u run a slower time

Well, today I got the front shaft back in, just in time for it to be raining in Sydney for a few days which is nice.

Also had an impromptu Castor bush fitting session, after Jetwreck decided they were flogged out and I needed new ones! Has made the car a fair be more pointy in the front end, and decreased some of my NVH.

Ah, and had a look down a fujitsubo compared to my Nismo exhaust today while they were next to each other- very different in the rear can. The Nismo has a single pipe through the rear can, that ends in a 2.5 inch or so single outlet that leads to the twin tips. The Fujitsubo on the other had splits into two sections almost immediately in the rear can, and continues through to the tips. So there you go.

Today I went for a front and rear alignment at heasmans in south Sydney. I've had work done by them before, and while they are not the cheapest, their work, and experience and the cars they work on are all top notch.

No print outs, as it was done manually, but I had a little camber taken out of the rear, so it's now about 1.5 degrees, and rear toe in was reduced from 7mm to about 2mm. This has reduced the jumping round feeling I got from the rear under really short sharp bumps. Everything else was just about perfect.

Thinking about heading back out the drags in the near future with awd to keep these pesky little 2.5s at bay...

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
