When i get a sore throat, a northern woggy type accent comes out of its own otherwise my speech is quite pleasantly Australian(ish).. Having been born here but spending my youth in the sphincter of the universe does play a part though i think :P

I have that northern woggy accent -_-

The temptation of those hot dogs is best left in the cafe and on the shelves at costco.

Only ever been there once, went with a mate for a look... Ended up having 2 or 3 hot dogs on the way out just for the f**k of it..

i cant eat more than one. hows the refillable Mountain Dew. lol

See, I would increase serving size during an obesity epidemic. Sif fast food restaurants give a shit about how unhealthy people are...$$$

/marketing

yeh well with the brand damage they get for not being healthy is more severe to their pockets than upping the sizes. Especially when you have the fat kunce that try to sue them for being fat.

I see.

Yeah, will have to look into it.

Feel like signing up to a membership now

We'd been tagging along with a friend who has a membership.

Also, might have to visit USA Foods again.

membership was like $55.00 if you can keep tagging along its probably better

I haven't met you but going by the name Mohsen...I would assume you are not from a European country, therefore it wouldn't be classified as 'woggy'.

Italian, Greek etc would be woggy....Middle eastern etc (not saying that's where you are from because I wouldn't know) would Arabic accent.

Like the majority of the cast from Fat Pizza...I loved that show and their whole "uleh" thing but people would refer to them as wogs when they are actually Arabic.

What brand damage? People are eating / relying on fast food more than ever. Lawsuits don't turn people off Maccas! If it was poison in the food, fair enough, but everyone just acknowledges people suing fast food places are fat fucks who brought it on themselves. I'm fairly sure those cases stopped coming about too, after everyone jumped on the wagon.

not the fat f**ks doing it.

everyone know Americans will try and put the blame on ANYONE else if they see a big cashout in the end.

its not even that, the social norm nowadays around the 1st world countries is to eat healthy be healthy.. if what your saying is true I dont see a reason why Mcdonalds Aus would bring out a Deli section, or add healthy options for happy meals.

theres also a reason why they stopped the characters like hamburglar and grimace. its because they were attracting too many kids adding to an obesity edipemic

If fast food joints 'dont give a f**k' why would they make so many changes for the current social norm.

Mcdonalds is now loosing the heart foundation tick of approval due to heart foundation changing their levels..thats a MASSIVE impact on McDonalds.

I wouldn't say that's the social norm, more of a trend within the norm. There are simply too many fat people around for us to be able to say eating healthy is a social norm.

I never said they don't market their products following social trends...but the only reason they are selling those healthy products is to take advantage of another market, that trend. It's not to dispell any myths about their fried food being bad for you, just broadening the demographic and making sure every meal you have can be had at Maccas. People have known for years that fast food is unhealthy about you, these places don't deny it, they just use the same old "eat our food in moderation" mantra.

They really don't give a shit about peoples health, it's 100% profit driven just like most businesses. Nothing but poisoned food and competition will hurt the brand name significantly IMO, most people don't even know Maccas have a Heart Foundation tick on any of their products...it certainly doesn't come to mind when you're driving along hungry and see the big M. You just go through the drive through, order what looks good or what you normally eat and don't really care what's in it because you don't have the time to.

I'de day its a social norm, but thats my opinion. i see people going for walks with friends. gyms etc because its another way to socialise.

Agreed it is to take advantage of another market, but tell me if you dont see "Mcdonald, we're making it healthy" styled advert. It does wonders to their brand. people start thinking, Mcdonalds care about the public, they stopped using fatty canola oil. Things are made fresh, they have healthy options. Its a Major lift for their Brand, and thats how they attract a different group of market. I can get salad from safeways, but what is Mcdonalds doing that makes people want to buy their salad. its more expensive(dont come on and say flavours etc Im talking metaphorically)

Yeh perhaps not many knew about Mcdonalds having the tick, but those people that didnt are probably the fat ones. Im sure that a lot more people will be like 'Mcdonalds lost the tick what a shit business" than MCdonalds got a tick well done mcdonalds.

There are more complaints then compliments. it all comes down to the brand damage that holds a business. and thats why business change. they wont feed fuel to a fire they dont want.

Same shit man. I believe the term woggy was describing how it would sound. I didn't say I'm a wog or anything. I just speak with the northern subs mumble, aka da wogii aksent.

After all, I AM GHADAFFI!

Lol Aaron I just died. Quality call

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
