Yes it is. I'll do it, need some moolah :P

I love black carssss

Do mine, but at my house, and for cheap cause I just spent enough money atm :P

Looked like that hurt, although the other guy that caused it seemed fine

So... I'm thinking I had a few drinks tonight.

ended up watching fast and the furious for the first time in many many years.

first off I was surprised just how much I noticed compared to first time, ie crappy parts (mainly sparco) that I would never put on my car.

then I started thinking just how do you end up in the "scene" ie how did you end up getting into jap cars and modifying them, as 10 years ago I was all into US muscle, hell still like it but yeah.

first experience I had with Jap cars, one of the guys I worked with took me out to a MCCR "street race night in his heavy modified MkIV supra.

one thing lead to another and I've spent way too much on playing with cars since...

so what got everyone else into the addiction?

Always kinda had an interest in all sorts of cars as a kid, for some reason Jap cars I remember always drew me in a bit differently, then all that FnF/Hot4's/NFSU(I was what 11-13 gimme a break :P) shit was big and I guess that moulded my thoughts a bit more then it's just grown and grown from around there.

This is why whenever I take people up my mountain run, I drill it into their heads to stick to the left of the road and not take the racing line. Too many cars go half a metre over the line on a tight corner. Sometimes you just can't avoid it though...

Used to be into 4x4's until I was what 11 or 12 when I first saw a car flying past with distinctive taillights - it was a MP 33 GTR. As I grew older with introduction of Autosalon mags and shows, FnF etc, bought first car which was a Patrol with 30ET inside (it hauled real good) thinking I'm still into 4x4's. After I'd sold the Patrol and rest is history.

/csb

I have half of the Street Machine issues ever released...thats over 30 years worth..I think my oldest 1986...

old man had a monaro.. I bought one too but couldn't be f**ked fixing it....I ran into an old friend with a skyline for sale, he let me drive it, i had cash...end story

Wouldn't say I'm addicted...

But I had seen the odd R33 on the road as a kid and always thought they looked cool. Then mates in year 11 properly got me into Jap cars with their talk of Supras and 180s. Then a mate with a Civic on his Ls introduced me to MCCR. Then I saw a 180sx cruising on the road with a CV8 Monaro (they were new at the time) and I was like...I have to have one. Parents said no :(

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
