Yeah was baycorp I think...didn't pay a cent of interest..Cant complain..

exactly... you did well considering what could have happened

also you provided a perfect case study to show the system works :P

i wouldn't bother with the split dump, not worth it at such low power levels, by the time you need it you have an external gate anyway.

i picked up a dump, front and cat for $300, tomei dump, trust front and nfi what cat it was.

those aftermarket turbos expect even 2nd hand to have to pay, my ef3 2nd hand was still $1600

Hmmm, yeah. That's why I was thinking wasn't on my immediate to-do list. Haha yeah some good second hand parts would be nice!

Haha yeah. Should probably include MAP2.5 to that list. I think I'd be happy with a 9 turbs however, dat response.

The other funds sink is the minor other supporting mods like bov, gauges... Maintenance stuff.

Aaaand of course sussy and wheels, and an e9 rear bar. Also I'm thinking nose chop.

So many plans xD

oh yeah and re evo... probably e7 best BFYB imho... 230awkw from just I/C piping, 8MR OEM turbo, fuel pump, full exhaust, boost solenoid and stock ECU flash.

I have most stuff... just need the turbo and LICP and i'm ready to go, so far have spent about $500 (secondhand stuff)

Yeah. Some 7s sold for some good prices. But I'd probably aim for a bit more, hence an 8. Not to mention other little nice things... like bigger fuel tank :P

3xe or whatever they're called do the licp for under $100 I think, with all the joiners and clamps too.

Brand new was cheaper than any other second hand I could find.

Yeah? Last I checked hot side around $150, cold side around $280... But as a set I think he does < $400 for both. But yeah like I said, x3e was what I was looking at for this

What's wrong with the e7 tank... It makes you feel like the car's fuel efficient cos it only costs $50 to fill :P

see it's just not worth the hastle...

e85 will get me to what, 250awkw vs 230?

and for that I need to do injectors and make huge efforts for fuel

that's a lot of effort for less than 15kw/tonne

I feel it'd push more than 250, if pushing 230 w/ 98, though...

it's worth getting the tune etc... but TBH I ended up running the 33 on 98 most of the time due to CBFness

290rwkw is enough for daily duties in a gtst

Yeah I fear the ceebs will flow through me lol

Like buying an fc hako etc etc

from discussions on evo oz it seems to net around 250 w e8MR turbo and 260 w e9 turbo

hmm, what sort of boost is that running?

-----------------------------------------------------------

there's a caltex with e85 on my way to uni, so i think i'll be sweet! also more or less on the way to work (sliiiight detour). only drainer is if i need to go in the other direction haha... although dat dual map tune for worst case scenario...

    • Ok I get you. But isn’t the butterfly intake a headache with the +T?  see this is my plan so far but please advise me into the right direction.  Nistune Ecu, 1000cc Bosch injectors, TD05 or TD06 Kinugawa turbo using stock rb25det exhuast manifold, walbro fuel pump unsure of model I think it’s 450/460, spitfire coils and sparks to suit and a R35 MAF sensor and boost sensor.    I was thinking maybe do a cheap eBay plenum $400-500 or try find a stock det neo intake. I think I’d port match it so it’s getting the full capacity but open to advice please.  Thanks
    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
