Progressive Tiens suck balls, had them in the s14 to start with, crashed though all the bumps on the street, then got all rolly on the track, worst of both worlds.

Compared Tiens with Kings? I'd be interested to know your opinions of each if so...

hey nick,

the XXR 527's in 18x9.75+20 that you had what did you need to fit them when you had the tien progressive springs?

i'm thinking im gonna go same same... $800 you cant go wrong lol

also i'm thinking 245/40/18

I ran 17s on the XXRs, 17x9.75 +24 iirc and had 255/40

sup

is it just me or does every evo 8 have a different shade rear bar?

ive looked at so many and i think in all of them, the rear bar is a different tinge/shade compared to the rear quater panels

surely not all of them have had touch up / spray work ?

bumpers are always a different shade as it's plastic compared to metal, and there is something with the paint when it is applying so the shade is always off a little

Hmm... Tiens it is then :P

Srsly tho... Whatever I find cheapest hahaha

I had teins, they were ok. But I would just spend the money and go BC coils, there could be a chance you get knocking front struts like I did. Iirc it was pretty common in 7s

I'd say so, look the best on the ct chassis

true, have seen a few with these. i like the 521's a bit, i think.

or maybe some varrstoens.

or i'm thinking some rpf01 in 9.5 +15 in SBC... delicious.

show and shine is in feb, 15th I think, Como park booked out till then.

for the S14 cracked it and went straight to Coil overs.

Had white line in the BB b4 it and they were bearable, pretty stiff and sagged a bit but was mainly looking for drop so that was fine.

Kings in the ute (well the front) and they seem quite nice to daily drive on. way too soft for track tho.

shout-out to an old member #@M34N ?

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
