Yeh of course just sayin if ya haven't seen one in real life it's far better than pictures an that

Think I've seen them, maybe the non AMG version not sure... I actually like the front, it looks pretty tough, but just not after a hatch...

I thought about a VW Sirocco or whatever they're called, they have a toughness about them, but still feel too much like a girls car to me

Not sure yet to be honest, had a quick look at the M3's and don't think they'll be in my price range... Could probably afford em but not sure I want to spend that much just yet.. Won't be in the market til next year though so we'll see..

Gonna be a tough call though, like I said not much really does it for me these days without spending big

I asked for "medium rare" eye fillet the other day and seemed to come out pretty well done :\ didn't really bother me as it was a company expense but still! should of said rare!

no you shouldn't... the fkn chef should be able to cook a steak.

you want med rare, you ask for med rare

problem with the VW sirocco R also is they are only front wheel drive..

same price as a golf R pretty much.. yet without that AWD kinda makes me think.. why did they bother.

exactly...

when I was looking around and thinking about a golf R as a compromise car I just couldn't bring myself to spend the coin on:

a) a car that costs a billion dollars per mod

b) a car that is no faster than an old stock evo

c) a car that detects any fun driving as an "emergency" and kills all power

Sounds like he is wanting prestige based on m3, c63, s5

Heck id say grab the new hsv clubsport/ gts best bang for buck you can get

he said he was thinking 34 R aswell but would spend too much modding it... i was kinda referring to that option.

EVO IX would be my pick...

can get ~260rwkw with basically e85, an exhaust, boost controller + tune which in an AWD car that weighs only 1400kg is pretty damn fast

beyond this the car loses response and starts to suck up dollars so they are easier not to mod than a GTR

a 34R will just end up being a 350+ rwkw moneypit if anyone in vic WL buys one. I know mine would

Do want something with some go...driving an excel/EA since selling my 33 so its been a long time between fun drives.

Leaning more towards prestige/euro... 34 gtr would be good but they're 13 years old now...

As far as evos go they've never really done it for me generally speaking, but if I were to get one I'd say the 8 shape is more to my liking over the 10.

Cars are just shit these days, maybe I should get a Panigale....

Will be properly looking into these supercharger kits for the 86 on Monday. From what I gather: 4-5k fitted, ADR complianced and engineered, all bolt on components with ecu reflash. 170rwkw without an exhaust on conservative boost; not uncommon to get 210rwkw from an exhaust and a little more boost. In a great handling 1200kg rwd, that's good/dangerous fun!

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
