I need to install a double din head unit, speakers in the front and back, a sub and 2 amps, anyone know anyone/place that installs all that for a good price and does a good job?

I asked jb hifi how much to install all that and they said $650, even i know thats a rip off.

f**k that for a joke. $200 is a metropolitan tow, assuming you even need one once a year lol

applies to every car you drive though, so if you're in a mate's car....

or if you're like me, leaving them headlights on ever so often.....

I agree. Biggest rip. its for people who dont know how to change a flat, jump start or cant stsrt tge car when its flooded. Other than that, its a tow from regional areas.

Also, can use for other cars ONLY if you upgrade cover to a higher level. Which was quite pricey... I got missurs to upgrade for 1 month when we drove to NSW, then downgrade.

You've driven mine, at 270rwkw it only just hangs on to 2nd gear with quality 265 tyres and the 1.5 way. E85 powered turbos come on fast and strong; you'll definitely want those 285s! I'm still very happy with my power for a street car; no desire to upgrade or change it.

That being said, a good right foot controls how much boost you get, so you can always go all out on the tune (within the limits of the clutch) and train that foot. Are you going to have a separate 98 tune or is yours a flex tune?

Gearbox tolerance for power is a piece of string...plenty of people pushing your power levels through these boxes safely; they handle a lot. Others can break the a box with standard power. This is where not so grippy tyres and a soft clutch are your best friends.

This... With 290rwkw @ 1.4ton on 98 I ended up ditching e85 for street duties as it had more than enough.

e85 only for special occasions lol

If only this one wasn't nearly 5k over-priced. Has D1R's with it tho.

that looks dodgy as, why not even wash a car prior to posting pics for sale? dirty as engine bay, why need 3 air fresheners

plus 13500

Yeah went in for a tune on 98, came out of the shop with a e85 tune lol

Yeah might just end up using the 98 map mostly if its too much power for me

your 98 map will be spastic anyway lol

my issue was cruises etc, and that I was using manildra e85 which is only available from one place.

If I go e85 again it'll be united

EOTD they are light cars, and as such 300rwkw is a LOT for street.

they don't actually need 370rwkw just to move them like leigh's cruise liner :P

Yes will be interesting.

On the old turbo i got bored quickly on 280rwkw.

Also an issue with the old turbo on the track was the powerband, sure it came on fullboost at 4,000rpm but then it would run out of puff at 6,000.

New Turbo should give a much wider powerband of 4,500 rpm to 8,000 rpm

Will have to take on leigh from a roll on the new setup once its finished :D

Bitch plz, put me on a hub dyno I'll be making 500rwkw trollface.jpg (nah but srs "430rwkw supra" made less than mine at a certain dyno day.. didn't crack 350 at chasers)

Bring it on! definitely more chance on a roll though that's for sure I've gone my brother a few times from low speed I'm gone by the time he boosts or he just hits boost and wheel spin city cos of the light weight 33 :P even with AD08s it just skates in 2nd sometimes the extra weight helps just squats the car down and grips.

Ofcourse we shall be doing this in a legal environment / on the strip :) but yea I'd imagine you'd have me on roll if dat power is legit

Gooby pls... I said brake boost.. he'll be on boost before you hit the loud pedal and your taxi just be a dot in his rearview mirror.

Gooby pls, propper 1/4 race from the line :)

My brothers got a GT35something in his, thing don't make boost until 6000rpm!

your brother isn't tony...

4500 - 8000k

you will lose - then be fined for fog lights

face it

Yeah what Hamish said. Im making full boost ~22psi at 4,500 rpm

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
