yeah theyre good pads. Jason gets them at a decent price.

been a fairly "mild" winter at Eildon so far, but today is proper chilly. reckon there will be some decent snow the next couple of days.

Im planning the family tobogganing day trip. anyone vouch for Lake Mountain or Mt Baw Baw? I've been to both but many moons ago and dont remember having to pay for entry up the mountain...

yea ill hit jase up when i get some kesh, hes getting my braided lines for me.

what brakes you running?

i got N15SSS rears and R32GTR fronts running A1RMS.

reminds me I need to bleed the lines.... but priority is to get the engine checked up. but that requires a day off. and a trailer.

gtr fronts?!?! wut!

so 33 gtst brakes.... you have to get you rotors drilled then i take it?!

shit the micra would do endo's with the 4 pot sumitomos.

its complicated...

older nissan small car hubs have some unique bracket size that only allow for swapping with other older nissan small cars.

N16 pulsar has a more common size, allowing FTO, maxima, skyline, silvia calipers etc. R32GTR sumitomo is the best for size/pad surface area/wheel availability for clearance. GTST are cast calipers and smaller pad but also 4 pot. brembo GTRs are bulkier and require spacers to fit im pretty sure. but if rolling in $$$ could get some aftermarket calipers.

N16 hubs machined and re-drilled to desired PCD, fit N16 bearings.

R32GTR calipers with N16 hub will take 288mm rotors, which means purchasing 300mm and machining down (not a fun job). then usually need rotors re-drilled too.

Gtst calipers are alloy, Silvia calipers are cast

Cast they are the same as Silvia calipers

This

you sure..... they all look alike to me.

plus literally everything on the wrx is alloy. EVERYTHING.

Definately, why they decided to go with the budget spec caliper I do not know.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
